I was given a mosko mount set, that is attached to a pair a Malle panniers from London. As I didn't get the pucks, I adapted them with TV aerial mounts, they did the same job as the pucks. I fitted them To a 23 model Himalayan( fitted perfectly) My mosko rack mounts have a steel twist lock on top, then you fold it back, and can lock the set with a padlock, which I have done. I would say the Mosko pannier mounts I have are an earlier design, but works very similar to these particular ones in this vid. I am very happy with them, as the panniers and the mounts were free, saving me over a $1000.

Putting my offset Panniers together right now (just need to screw on the last pocket). I haven't used them yet, but I can tell I'll be happy with them. They are super robust feeling and just appear to be insanely well put together. Definitely worth the minimal premium in price over other 'good enough' brands, I feel. Mine are mounted to a set of Outback Motortek racks on a Husqvarna Norden, no drilling required! Had to pop a panel off the Noden's rear plastics that was already present for just this thing. My only complaint is that one of the rack mounting bolts very lightly touches a heat shield on the Akrapovic exhaust. Also got a 50L scout bag which is HUGE, may be a bit much for the short trip I'm taking this weekend. Addendum: Just went to put the second aux pocket on and realized it was labeled 'Offset', the other is labeled 'Standard'. I didn't even think to check that they'd be different sizes. Thankfully I've got them on the right bags!

Thanks for your comment. I think you'll be very happy with them ... I am. The only "issue" with them is actually a "plus". They're so robust that they're a bit stiff. I'm sure they'll soften up over time, though. Good luck with your riding!

@@3ftDeepChannel You were right, they were awesome for the trip I ended up taking. Absolutely built like tanks and fit a massive amount of stuff.

Hello, in my opinion I think with some spacers you would have saved the milling and time, simply with some spacers between the rac and the Mosko plates you would have gotten rid of the projections of the original suitcases. Greetings from Spain

I am having the same issue with the little welded piece blocking the slide-in lock. Max, being not as mechanically inclined as you seem to be I'm hoping you can help me. Unfortunately, I don't have the fancy drill tool you used to shave a space. In fact, I don't think I want to go that route. However, and worst case scenario, my wife does have a dremmel set that could possibly work. Aside from that, if I want to, for whatever reason, slide the bag around on the rack. Using your solution lock the bag in that one position? Possibly another solution: Would you recommend grinding those millimeters and a half welded bits that are blocking the bags, down flush with the rack? Is that even possible? I don't see myself ever getting hard panniers. At the same time, I hate to destroy anything new. Especially OEM parts. Or another possible solution: Stacking three-five washers in between the "holder" and the pannier rack? This is my least favorite but less destructive solution. Thanks for your thoughts. Hope to see you on the trails one day soon.

Hello Garnett, I understand your reservation, but I would suggest the Dremel option. It worked perfectly and leaves all options open. Good luck.

Thanks for sharing your installation. It is necessarily always to modify the MoskoMoto frame insert? I have a 900GS but couldn’t find the rack for this MoskoMoto set.

Not necessarily. I just found that it needed to be done with my Triumph Tiger 900. Good luck and safe riding.

I recently met with Pete and the Mosko Moto guys...love them and love their products and getting the same on my soon to have, Tiger 900 Rally Pro. How you liking yours so far? I'd love to hear your gear, helmet and any mods you've made etc. I"m in SoCal and riding here and in Baja. Ps I just got my Dremel 4300 too! Great vid man. Thanks!

Unfortunately, we weren’t able to get out and do much adventure riding this year, so I’ve used them very little. We do, however, feel they’re excellent. Very well designed and of the highest quality. Maybe the only complaint we have is the material is so rugged, it’s a bit stiff. It’s nit-picking, but really it’s the only flaw we found. We highly recommend them and see a lot of other riders using them as well. Chris has an Arai XD-4 and I use a Scorpion AT 950. They’re both great helmets: the Arai is supposedly the top of the line and the Scorpion for more “budget”-wary riders. I bought the Scorpion because it is modular and has a sun visor. I don’t find it very good for dirt bike riding though, as front peak should be further out for better ventilation. It gets a bit hot under there when working hard on a dirt bike. My gear is Alpinestars Drystar Andes II. I love it. It’s not expensive, but has worked great over the years. The only mods I’ve done to the Triumph are with OEM parts: Headlight guard, fork protector, pannier racks, upper engine guard and fog light relocation kit, radiator guard and oil filter guard.

Why did you choose to mill the panels instead of cutting down the rack. I am looking into the same setup for my 1200 Tiger but this makes me a bit nervous. Maybe I should look for another rack.
@3ftDeepChannel
@3ftDeepChannel Жыл бұрын
The panels were easier to deal with. Now it works great. I wouldn’t get another rack instead of milling out the panels.

Good choice. I’m a fan of OEM stuff for the bike, so I installed the Triumph pannier rails and I’m happy with them (see kzbin.info/www/bejne/r4HFi6ytdsibqNEsi=09Lredb53qIeSaly). I would also get the Triumph sliding carriage for the back. Good luck.

I don’t have any milling bits, so I used a router bit. Not the right tool for the job, but as I was only milling into plastic …

The panniers are made out of very heavy duty fabric. Not sure of the weight, but you can find details on Mosko Moto’s website.
