Ranch and farm work like housework is never done. I have not made shepherd pie in forever. I never heard of putting mayo in mashed potatoes. Yum friend baloney sandwich or biscuit. Yeah spring ! You need to take those left over potatoes, and make some Potato pancakes. you can have them for breakfast with eggs and sausage or bacon. Yummy. Here's my recipe. one egg, 1/2 cup chopped onion, and 1 cup of self rising flour.

Shepard's pie: cook hamburger with mushrooms then add peas and corn. Topped with mashed potatoes and cheese. Heated enough that the cheese is melted. So easy and delicious.

Little late but for my Shepherd's pie, ground beef, mushrooms and onion cooked. Add canned pinto beans and golden mushroom soup. Potatoes and cheese on top. I do season the ground beef as cooking with favorite spices.

@@tracyhardwick2695 I made gravy with mine recently and used it, it was so good! The recepie called for simmering the frozen veggies in a mix of beef broth, gravy & tomato paste. I threw in a little worcestershire sauce too. So good!

Shepard's pie is a staple in our French Canadian family. Instead of cheese on top, we've always made it with cream corn on top and peas mixed in with the meat. So yummy! Also, I absolutely love watching your videos every evening. Your family is so lovely!

I brown and drain the ground chuck. Then I saute chopped onion and minced garlic in the ground beef. Then I put frozen peas and carrots in the ground beef mixture. Sprinkle some Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper, mix the ground beef mixture together. Then I sprinkle the beef mixture on the bottom of sprayed baking dish. Top with mashed potatoes, sprinkle with shredded sharp cheddar cheese all over the mashed potatoes. Bake in 350 degree oven until cheese melts....Yum.

We grew up calling it shepard pie as well.🥧 Seasoned ground beef, which sometimes now to give it a little extra flavor I will add some brown gravy to it before adding to the casserole dish, drained corn, then I will vary my potatoes - I will do sour cream, garlic, or just simple mashed potatoes. Too help make the top extra delicious I will add some pats of butter and it seeps into the potatoes and makes them brown up real nice and I love adding cheese to the top as well, yum!!!! 👩‍🍳

One day I started making a little gravy after I cooked the meat. Just floured it a little, cooked it to cook the flour, the added a little milk and seasoning. Only makes a little to coat the meat. Highly recommend it layers of hamburger, potatoes, then cheese, but at times I roll out a can of crescent rolls on top of the cheese and bake it until it’s golden and it’s SO yummy!

My Shepherds Pie. I put cooked ground beef and onions, mixed with a can of cream of mushroom, and frozen peas and carrots in the bottom. Then mashed potatoes with butter and evaporated milk on top of that. Cheese on the top.

I actually make a gravy in my ground beef using the grease, flour and some beef broth. So it's like mashed potatoes and gravy. In the potatoes I add sour cream, milk, chives, salt and pepper. Any veggies on hand go in the meat.

My family's version of shepphards pie is a peas/corn on the bottom, browned hamburg on top of the veg. I make brown gravy and pour it on top of the hamburg, then top with mashed potatoes. It's one of our favorites!

When I was young I had never heard of "sheppards pie". I did make a dish of meatloaf on the bottom, cook that for maybe 30 minutes. Then a layer of creamed corn, then a layer of mashed potatoes. Bake until the potatoes are toasty on top.

Falon, those country ham biscuits sure brought back memories. My Grandma would make them whenever we visited with grits and red eye gravy. They always had a cured country ham in their pantry. Pickle chips are good. I dry my ziplock bags like that. You can never have too many mashed potatoes. I make potato pancakes. I put chopped onion, little flour so they hold together, delicious. Falon you look so pretty with green dress.
