Yes it is. Brand I am using is Loon Kee...sweet bean paste with chillie ( taucu cili manis)

This mee is not hot, but of course if you can’t take chillies you can omit n substitute with a mild chillie sauce or tomato sauce.

You can add to enhance the taste and only if needed. That’s why I said to give a taste first. Also depends on individuals who like more saltiness.

You can use the wet chillie paste that comes in a packet sold in supermarkets. If not you can used lingam hot chillie sauce that what I used.
