"Don't tell someone what to do in Netherlands" "Telling someone what to in Netherlands may well backfire" This is very cryptic! I wonder what would happen.

In Dutch culture, they never give order in the imperative. They give orders by asking "Would you like to do that, don't you? And it is compelling. One cannot refuse, especially if it is said by someone of higher authority. It is a very weird country. It is not a liberal country as most people think. Their police and judges are corrupt and they put people into prison if they ever dare to complain about or put a lawsuit against them. The prostitution and drug mafia are very strong there and have a strong lobby in politics, the judiciary, the police, and the mass media. No one talks or answers anyone in public as that may be regarded legally as an offense but drugs and prostitution are completely legal. Don't talk or interact with the Dutch people. Don't be friendly with them because they regard it as a sign of weakness and will conspire against you (especially if you/one is German or Belgian).

I assume you don't tell people where to go either.

@@bigverybadtom I have heard that you are very bad, so I will tell you to go to your room and think about what you have done!

Actually, in Greece, waving your hand with your fingers spread is a direct insult. However, when your fingers are together, it is fine.

What? So, it's OK to eat with your hands in most countries?
@JannPoo8 ай бұрын
That depends on the food. Most people around the world eat pizza with their hands, but in Italy it is not considered good manners to do that at a restaurant. Also people eat all types of sandwiches and hamburgers with their hands, and in fact french fries at fast foods are usually taken directly with your hands.

@@JannPoo Same in Chile... fast food tends to be eaten with the hands. I don't understand the difference.
