I agree. Big Flounda is the best in my opinion. His content is so informative and real. His knowledge and advice ALONE has got me to God level each season in KL. The only reason why I'm not at Elder God level (and I know I can do it) is because I'm utterly soul crushed by the time I get to God and have no will to survive. Just teasing. But truly, this guy is the GOAT. Forget the rest, this one's the real deal.

Lui Kang in this game has the least amount of things to do literally since mk4 which was released 30 years ago. And if we're honest he probably has the stubbiest range in the game. F4 and high damage are the only things going for him

Literally was about to comment this. As a Liu Kang main, just duck the fireball and air fireballs and block/jump over the slow low fireball. Very easy to pass compared Quan, Sindel, Shang, etc.

@@itzzackovia it also has a screen freeze, which makes both players placed at neutral (in the worst case scenario) or Geras is plus. He has launching grabs with it for 30%-40% and also armour breaking 50/50’s. Can also be done when the opponent is standing after a meterless freeze cancel for the same mixups and more. Note: I main Geras. I’ve labbed nearly everything there is with the character at this current point of the game. I don’t believe he is top tier but he’s also not bottom tier. As much as he has with sand klone, sand klone is really all he has besides his damage, 1-bar breaker and also snap. He’s high mid-tier at best in my opinion.

@@LordTempest i also main geras and find flaws in your explanation. wtf is screen freeze? his 1 bar breaker is negative on hit in most scenarios(oponent gets up before you do).. also what ar eyou talking about 50/50 armor breaking moves? he has none unless you perfectly time a 12 against a slow armor start up character. and no.. his throw is not launching.. idk what you're smoking dude.

@@itzzackovia when I say armour breaking 50/50’s I mean what sand klone, his 2 bar move, can do. The screen freeze that bf3 ex has is what I was referring to. It’s a setup tool that is insanely strong but also expensive for that very reason, along with a skill gap to use the proper setups from it (overhead/low mix, launching command grab, etc.) if you main geras as well then you may have neglected the move entirely by the sounds of it. It’s a moan part of his toolkit along with the “perma-glass” gameplan of trying to constantly have 3 hourglasses off every touch/scenario given as to have 1-bar breaker as often as possible. And yes, his 1-bar breaker is difficult to use (ignoring getting the hourglasses in the first place) and it isn’t positive on hit when it does work but being able to break combos for 1 bar and regain health back is more than enough to consider it at least slightly bullshit. At the very least, it’s annoying to deal with when it’s happening to you constantly. I’m not trying to argue and I’m not smoking anything. I don’t think you have nearly as much time on the character or in the lab with him than you have in the comments of YT vids to argue about this. Have a good night, or dont :)

Changing the input setting helped me with that. I don’t remember what i changed it to because i haven’t played in months, but i remember if i wanted to use a special for example with a triangle after the last button i pushed was square, then it registered the input as a square again and it didn’t come out.

The most frustrating thing about about MK1 is that it’s a beta not a full game and they have the balls to drop paid dlc. The customisation is a joke in the game as it is now only a handful of handcrafted skins for the characters and the set pieces for each character is a joke, more characters need more customisable gear pieces rather having just one. With them adding more move set to characters it also shows they didn’t care about dropping full versions of character perfect example is sub zero and scorpion, scorpion being semi complete because how broken he is with Ferra. They need to do more with this game before asking the consumer for more money as there just isn’t enough content atm.

Gotta point out some issues with the Smoke part. He actually has one of the worst wakeups in the game. It tracks poorly, is very slow, and can only become a launcher with like 2 kameos. The main issue is its very easy to accidentally trigger the armor, and still have time to block and punish. Many(probly all) characters can literally just stand 1 Smoke as hes waking up, it will hit the armor, and then youll be able to block in time and then kill him. Obviously because of how slow it is, its very easy to armor break as well. And as you showed, ex smokeball without a kameo or knockdown to cover it is veryyyy punishable. Stand 1, uppercut, or just jump and you can air to air Smoke before he can do anything. I promise you its one of the worst wakeups in the game lmao Sick video idea otherwise though.

Exactly my thoughts when he said his wakeup was broke. Don't forget you can upblock the wakeup. If you're playing against Raiden, reptile or Tanya don't ever wake as a smoke player

Most high level Liu staggers his 1 and 1&2 he has the fastest stand 1 in the game and it’s 6 frame and the only one that can counter Johnny stand 1 and punish Johnny consistently. Not to mention down 3 being 8 frame low and giving you hit advantage. Means you either taking the throw or the full combo because you are not reacting to six frame while trying to come out of recovery. It’s a reason Ninja went with him in Final Kombat game but like you said, you have to watch out for Johnny FB.

23:53 Another tip to counter this move, as well as other high blockstun moves like Geras f1, 2, 12 and Havik’s Arm is flawless blocking Flawless block negates chip damage and changes frame data, but more importantly it negates pushback. Just flawless block the last bit and get a free punish.

You forgot one of the best counters to omni man and lao is just calling an assist to take the low and continue blocking high. But a lot of omni now use jax because of tay.

Tanya's spinning kick is her only "hail Mary" move if she is getting put into a corner tho🤷 if they nerf the armor on that she literally lost once she's cornered. We cant roll forward or back when recovering so its instant pressure.

Best counter play to deaths embrace is to cancel into fatal as early as possible as it breaks embrace and the earlier you do fatal the less scaling ❤️

As a Scorpion player that isn’t the only defense against that character. As a matter of fact most times you don’t even have to guess. At close range you can interrupt B3xxFerra call with S1 or S2 or even D1 If you’re about round start distance or farther you can just jump back, or if you’re feeling cheeky and read the low you can jump forward for a free punish. Also you can armor through any Ferra call. Upblocking is the worst option imo because if the scorpion player reads it, you will just be susceptible to the low and now you’re creating unnecessary guessing situations. Learn the all your options in the match up fellas.

With liu kang thats all we got. Thats why we use f4. Its f4 or zone. Without that move its really hard to open somebody because he has no mix up. I try to mix it up with f14 but everybody blocks low. Now with ferra its true that liu kang players can do some mix up and get very good damage

1:32 na mate, he does the move, you play the game as usual, you'd be lucky to combo him instantly after he does it, but usually it'll take a few seconds for you to touch him since it's a 2 player game, you finally do touch him, combo him with a long combo which this game leaves you floating forever in combos. His move will run out during your combo. You get full damage.

You can see through Rain's bubble on PS5...it's not sheilded but opaque and you can see through it but it's still good to use and is does obstruct come visibility. I guess you're on a PC...should be a setting I would hope in graphics that could change how that bubble looks.
