A friend of mine was unalived by a drunk driver as well. She was a mother of 4, and genuinely a wonderful person. The person who hit her car was driving on a suspended license, with many previous DUIs but no real jail time, and had gotten on the wrong direction of a 1-way fast lane on the highway. The drunk swerved directly into her without even trying to hit the brakes. She's probably already out of jail now and back in the bars, while my friend's kids grow up without a mom and the world is a little darker without Jenny's light.

I lived as an alcoholic for 16 years. At the end I was drinking from the moment I woke till I passed out at night. Still working a job and fulfilling responsibilities to the best of my ability. I was relatively functional from an outside perspective. I had become so use to living like that and having no major issues that it was easy for my brain to classify driving as just another thing I could do while under the influence because up until the last few years of my struggle, it had never been a problem. But it was a problem. I began running into ditches and popping tires and sliding into guard rails. Thank god I never hurt anyone, but I was too blinded by my addiction to realize the truth. Don’t be like I was. Don’t take the chance throwing your life away and ruining others’. Be responsible. Be thoughtful. Get help if you even think that you need it. I am ashamed to say I was arrested for DUI 2 years ago. I had only had 3 drinks over the course of 7 hours so I thought I was okay. Since then, I use a portable breathalyzer any time I drink in an effort to grasp my BAC after each drink (I’m a data girl) and I am at the legal limit after one glass of wine (if I didn’t have a good meal). I highly recommend anyone that drinks gets one of these, they’re only like $40 and have really helped me understand the impact of alcohol on my body. Also, if you drive to dinner, get a soda water. If you want to have a drink with dinner, take an Uber or walk. That’s it. Thank god I didn’t hurt anyone or damage anything but the process of dealing with this arrest was a nightmare and very shameful for me. Plus it ended up costing about $5,000… an Uber would have been $7. I share because I was severely misinformed about how much I could have drank before safely driving. The correct answer is actually nothing.
@khadyadjisall57084 ай бұрын
Alcool is the only drug that is so normalised, that you can openly do so and even drive (ofc by respecting certain limits). I find it extremely hypocritical. Alcool is and will always be a drug, and no matter how little you drink you are still putting a dangerous substance in your body. Take care you seem much more responsible than most people who drink.

It's crazy how everyone is different when it comes to reacting to alcohol. My aunt just got a DUI. She didn't know she was developing Lyme's disease, and there was a lot of bad work life things going on, so she had 1 IPA Beer in the evening after work. She didn't have anything to eat that day because of stress, and she didn't realize how much that beer affected her when she went to drive home. She tried driving home while crying (from the bad work stuff), and crashed into a tree. She is fine, her car is wrecked though. No one hurt. It's crazy how you could just have 1 or 2, and then that's all it takes. She's on the mend now, she works from home so she doesn't need to see that terrible person, and she's going thru Lyme disease treatment.

What's very concerning to me is the fact that people usually drunk drive a lot before they are ever caught. It's rarely a one-time thing, if it ever really is. But the ease with which Timberlake used those lines and tried to get out of a DWI charge, those same lines may have actuallly worked for him before. The guy could have done this a hell of a lot more than people think.

@talkichik1014 ай бұрын
Yeah, I saw this when it first dropped and I was pretty certain she was single based on the whole video. I think you're right, women in aprons are suddenly labeled as trad wives lol.

Its been 10 years now, but when we were all 16, a dear friend of mine was struck and killed by a DUI driver. He was just finally sentenced 2 years back.

I lived on Mallorca for 2 years and i had a German actor as a regular guest in the bistro I worked at...he always tried to dine and dash and use his "fame" as a getaway...that man hated me because the first time he tried that bs with me my response was "ahhh right you just got out of jail right???"😂😂😂 I would have loved to be that cop

You're nails look wonderful, the colour on them really really suits you. Celebrities of "yesteryear" need to realize in the age of internet, you're only famous while your top charts and usually young (or a 'silver fox'.) he is none of those things. Even then. Celebrities need to face actual punishment for endangering the average person.

This was actually a pretty helpful update video. I saw what looked like a mug shot of Justin Timberlake out there, I was slightly intrigued but I didn't care enough to research, I will without hesitation play every one of your videos that is suggested, so this was a win:win as now you have given me all the info I need with your twist on it and now and I'm caught up on the internet. ♥ this is a great friendship we have going. ha.

I am so sorry for the deaths for your friend and friends mom. Drunk driving is so irresponsible and horrible.
@caitlinburton15754 ай бұрын
Anyone who says that they "made a mistake" and was "too drunk to think" just refuse to take responsibility for their actions. I was a very heavy alcoholic that went out to a concert one night without eating anything all day, after four drinks I was near blackout drunk, stumbling all over the place and was still conscious enough to know that I should not get behind the wheel of a car. I relayed this information to the person I was with and they were gracious enough to let me spend the night at their house and dropped me off back to my car the next morning.
