The key is…
Single leg strength ‼️
The short clip of the woman in this video represents the possibilities of this exercise! This is one of the primary exercises we focused on to help her get up from the floor with bone on bone knees ☝🏽
It can be possible to build the strength to feel confident standing up again 💪🏽
Starting with 5-8 repetitions each side can be a good place to start. Use support as needed and modify as your body needs ⚠️
Now I know kneeling can be tricky but that is also something that can be improved upon ✅

This exercise can be a great place to start but you have to continue to progress and add in different movements for maximum results ⚠️

I remember years ago there was a video that if an elderly have fallen and having a problem getting up, it wasn’t this one. It was something how you roll over or you scoot over to the sofa you bend your legs or something if you have that one show us that one again would love to see it thumbs up.👍

Recovering from sciatica --2.5 months My affected leg--the left--is very weak. In the beginning it kept collapsing and I would fall. I had to crawl to my sofa put my arms on it and then was able to use my right leg and arms to get up. Do you have exercises for strengthening the weak leg? This is a great exercise for my strong leg. Thanks for this video m🙏

Great exercise because sit-up makes my right knee sore and this one doesn’t! However, I do get nagging groin soreness on the right side from this exercise. Probably my right side is just bad 😊

Wow, love this!! When I use stairs I notice my right leg is stronger than the left. So getting up off the floor it makes sense to lead with right! (duhh? 😁) Thanks for your ideas!😊

Thinning hip scares the hell out of me. I'm walking 🚶‍♀️ a lot. Blood test for vitamin d3 toxic levels. Trying too hard. Strengthen may help

I was just diagnosed with bone on bone arthritis in my right hip. How many of these exercises can I do. I especially struggle with even putting socks on my feet or doing nails etc. on that side myself. Ty @ArthritisAdventure

I usually don't have issues going up the stairs but going DOWN my one knee will sometimes "pinch" on the inside. Same if I try to stand up or flex it. It's random. The other day there was even a small bruise cluster that my grandson said that looked like a smiley face: 2 eyes & a smile. This morning I decided to do the modified lunge you show here, & it seems easy to me. I don't feel I really struggle to raise myself every time, just sometimes. I do have some arthritis in my knees, but it's from Lupus, the systemic kind. Any ideas?
