Personally the one thing I never understood is why did everyone thought the armorer would be the spy of all people. Out of all the characters she has been shown to be then one to care about mandalorian culture and it's survival the most, not to mention that if she really had connections with the empire then she would have just asked Din for the dark saber before banishing him on the book of boba Fett

I had wondered if maybe she wasn't an imperial loyalist but perhaps would betray Bo-Katan in order to maintain the status quo of the Children of the Watch cult. that perhaps she would look on the loss of Mandalore as a fait a complit, attempting to retake the planet unnecessary and risky, and bringing Bo-Katan and her group into the fold too destabilising to the cult's way of doing things

Honestly, I think many of his predictions were probably right but they had to change the trajectory of the show to compensate for several cancelled movies and shows that those scenes may have tied into. For example, the missing space battle may be because it tied to Rogue Squadron or Rangers of the Republic, both of which would have fit in here given how much screen time the New Republic's fighter corps was getting. It's also possible there really were plans to get Boba Fett involved but they either couldn't afford to bring the actor back, or something has changed in the Book of Boba Fett's Season 2 that hasn't been announced yet. Disney is so fast and loose with the franchise that it is also just possible they don't care enough to fill in the tiny details because they know we'll watch it anyway (although after Solo I would hope they'd learn their lesson, but they probably haven't).

Yeah, I was guessing that the domed city was on Concordia, since its environment was previously decimated by excessive mining, but it looks like the forests have grown back. And the way Moff Gideon emphasized "and bombers" really made us expect SOMETHING menacing from them. I mean, when the TIE bombers destroyed Bo-Katan's castle, she got enraged to need revenge because of what they did to Mandalore. Din had to talk some sense to her. So yeah ... TIE bombers bombarding mandos has a real emotional bite. Also, like half the mandos at LEAST have the same visceral reaction as Bo-Katan seeing the results of the imperial bombardment again. As it was? We hardly got to see the TIE bombers do anything at all. Even the gang of angry mouse droids was more menacing.

You ever thought that maybe the problem is the bad foreshadowing? I've noticed this alot lately in shows from the past 20 years (Lost especially) that there are more clues than there are mystery, some of the information is conflicting and most of the 'hints' you pick up lead absolutely nowhere. JJ Abrams "mystery box" is more focused about the writers making you ask what's in the box. Here's the thing though: The writers don't figure out whats actually in the box until they write the final episode. Until then, they have no idea. So they're laying the tracks as the train rolls over them without ANY idea of where they're going.
@michaelramon2411

Eck, I will give you props for a theory you got right - your breakdown of the Mandalorian fleet specifically noted more than once that their anti-fighter capabilities were very weak. And sure enough, when they realize a swarm of advanced TIEs are coming in, they immediately conclude that they can't fight them off and scatter to the winds while the TIEs rip their cruiser apart. Speaking of those ships, I think it's fairly obvious that the non-cruiser Mando ships were running away and hiding (those were Bo's orders, after all, with the cruiser serving as a distraction) and the TIEs shot down what they could see, flew back under the radio-jamming clouds, saw Gideon's base get hit by the cruiser and then flew back into space to summon a carrier from their actual Remnant faction so they could go home. The fleet stuff was probably the least problematic issue with the episode in my view.
@daefaron
@daefaron Жыл бұрын
A variant to the second part is that the Fangs and Gauntlets after dropping off the troops went into CAP mode (combat air patrol) and then ambushed all the tie interceptors and bombers that tried returning to base before or after the cruiser went down into the clouds.

How did you expect this when the whole season was trash and nothing made sense? If they are writing mandalorians shooting in open water as “target practice” with no targets, and a kid surviving in the belly of a dragon for two whole days with no food or water , then obviously mandalorians on this planet can survive magically because the writing just says so . Plus this season’s shortcomings isn’t just from lofty expectations. There were so many story beats that were setup only to be immediately undone/regressed. For example, is it anyone’s fault for expecting Din to shed the cult ways after having his notions of the Mandalorian identity challenged throughout the 2 seasons, especially by Bo, Boba, and Mayfeld? Or Din wielding the darksaber and being a reluctant leader, after his struggle and training was set up in BoBF? There’s unreasonable expectations but there were also tons of reasonable expectations that were subverted in the laziest way
@daefaron

@@ricopitulation Just because the story didn't go the way you immediately expected it to, doesn't mean the story beats were undone and regressed. Din went from being one of the more fanatic believers of the way to accepting other Mandalorians even if they don't follow the same creed. He feels comfortable with the helm and has grown up in the helm, so it's weird to have him start taking it off all the time. Din's personality wasn't that of a nation leader, and the darksaber never was a "YOU WILL BE MANDALORE." but was "You can claim the throne." People took the "You can" as "You are destined to and there is no other path" It's not even subversion, people just became focused on that being the ONLY way forward, instead of catching how Din's struggle with himself and the blade meant he didn't want the damn thing that could hurt himself more then the other person. Him holding the blade caused many events to happen, including the unification of the two tribes and possibly more survivor groups.

Eck. How about theories on the dark saber? 1. How could it be destroyed if it was made of beskar? 2. When it was destroyed, how did it not destroy bo Katans hand and all the bones be made to mush? 3. Was it's remains saved? Will it be rebuilt? 4. If it's rebuilt, would it be by and for Grogu? 5. Think there will be anything at all about the dark saber going forward? Or will they just leave it behind?

@@GrahamWarzywo I just know I saw that part and rolled my eyes. Warrior and badass warrior or not, that kind of pounds of force used to break the dark saber using the person's hand holding it would have been immense pain. I saw someone's hand get crushed in a hydraulic press at a shop I worked at. The press was used to shape steel sheets to oil pans. Then man went to his knees. He threw up and pissed himself from the pain. Not judging him. I would likely do the same thing. Saw another man operating a press much the same, but disabled the second button (have to press two buttons to activate it, one with each hand), he used a block of wood and a thick rubber band to hold the first button down, so he only had to use one hand. Well his hips were too close to the press and got his wang caught in. It's was horrifying. Man made his wang into a pancake, testies and all.*shudder* So, needless to say, the pain she had to have been in was so immense, she would have been down, for a long long time. Sorry so long. But, it explains why suspension of disbelief.

You're far from the only person to have theories that were wrong but I very much appreciate the acknowledgement of it. This grounded humility is why I like this channel. On things not happening in the last episode it felt like a bit of subverting expectations by building them up intentionally then not following through and partly like they ran out of budget (probably spent it all on Lizzo's palace scenes).

@@smc912 No hate on Lizzo's acting or presence in the show, but rather on the high special effects budget allocation to her palace scenes (which while fun didn't progress the plot) and what looked like the special effects budget running out in the last episode where it would have been better spent.

I've got a theory with some flimsy evidence you might find interesting The Mythosaur we see in the show is in fact a strand cast experiment that broke free like we saw with certain modified clone in another show. Moff Gideon had it made as a final insult to the mandalorians to serve as an exotic pet/trophy and it might have been made force sensitive like his clones either so a connection is made between these clone siblings or as an experiment to inject force sensitivity in a much more resilient creature before moving onto humans as a proof of concept. The only evidence I base force sensitivity on is that it reacted somewhat similar to the clone Gideon when Grogu looked at it

I’ve been thinking about the TIEs disappearing. It could be explained that Gideon had information about the size of the fleet leaving Nevarro. When the fleet arrived at Mandalore and was smaller than expected they were on high alert for a second wave. So the TIEs remained in orbit on patrol. Meanwhile, due to the jamming they wouldn’t know the base was under attack until it was too late and there was nothing they could do so they fled. I agree it wasn’t handled well and I wish they showed more space battle but just a thought

If you watch the end credits artwork for the last episode of season three, there's a lot of stuff that seems to have been changed (more than usual at least) or cut from what we got (a mandalorian flying a TIE? Gozantis blowing up, the Armorer wielding some kind of heavy blaster, etc) So i assume either the episode had production trouble or they are saving some things for later seasons/series.

I think theories are good , the show was so weak that it makes our theories seem insane when compared to disneys shiittt writing. You can’t even pretend some of this is good. For example those mandos ( who belonged to Bo Katan)on the boat spend their whole time’s scavenging mandalore and they somehow never saw the imperial base or anything ? Then gideon puts his helmet on, walks around looking for din and grogu ( he even knows where they are cuz he sees them on a map!) and then he somehow doesn’t see them and then comes back with his helmet off. This story was crap and anyone trying to say that those plots make senses r coping hard

I have a question on another topic: Paz's son Ragnar. Why is his character so important? It could have been any foundling if the producers wanted us to see how a foundling is initiated. But that Paz gave his life away, is his son going to be the new antagonist in a future season? Maybe he wants to fix the Darksaber so he can continue the "Family Right" to this weapon? Or challenge Bo to that right once he fixes the Darksaber? Some time jump will need to occur to have those events play out, perhaps in the final season. Anyway, something else to brood over.
@ryanwraight5630

I thought we would see Bo Katan betray or do something greedy to get the Darksaber. I also really wanted scenes in the New Republic inner government where we see Mon Mothma and Leia who are having internal fights with someone like Fey'lia to help explain the New Republic's disfunction. I still think we might see that in Ashoka or something. That to me feels like something that would have been addressed in a Rangers show but never film due to the cancellation. For season 4, Ashoka and beyond, I have some wild theories I want to put out there myself. 1st I think we will see Hondo with connection to these Pirates who have been troubling the outer rim. I think Hondo will replace Talon Karrde's role in the Thrawn stuff. I think the new Dark Jedi in Ashoka could have connections to Tenebrae from the Old Republic game. I believe part of his story in the game had to do with the unknown regions so I think using him or his legacy would be cool. I also think we will see Barriss in Ashoka with some connection to the Inquistors with a possible redemption arc for her. Seeing her and Ashoka fight, then become allies to fight these new dark jedi thrawn has could be cool.

Would've been cool if Mando tried to get help from Boba, and realizes that Boba has recruited some Mandalorian mercenaries and Din Jarin is like, "Hey, uhm, I'd like to take your men, and get your help", And then have Fennek or whatever her name is, have issues with Boba being such a push-over and, Boba has to make a decision to help, or to keep his post as a crime lord. In general this season hurt. The Mandalorians funneling into the Imperial base was only because of the enormous lizard, which disappears inexplicably.

Where did R5D4 come from? I do not understand how R5D4 was left behind on the planet’s surface all alone near the Great Forge. I recall that he was last seen in Bo-Katan’s Gauntlet as it initially dropped to the surface. The Armorer later used to fly injured survivors up to the fleet. We did not see R5D4 among those left behind for the significant overland journey to the Great Forge. We did not see R5D4 fleeing the Sail Barge when Godzilla destroyed it. Again. Where did R5D4 come from? He should have still been aboard the Gauntlet after the Armorer landed it somewhere off-camera.
