Your welcome mate. Might be real simple for those that have fished for years but for newbies can be very daunting. Glad I could help even if only a little

I like the running sinker rig when using braid. It saves having to tie your leader to the braid. It’s a massive time saver in the ocean.

Out of the 3 set ups what would you say is best to start off with? Going with powerbait/worm in a lake

What size main line would you recommend? And would that also be used as the sinker line to or do I need small stuff? Thanks heaps

I should add I am extremely new to fishing and aim to catch some nice small fish by some lakes or rivers off powerbait or worms

Depends what your fishing for. Always try and use as small a sinker as possible and as light a line as possible. I assume if you are using powerboat you are trout fishing? If so then I would normly use 6lb line

Fishing can be very frustrating when starting off. Don't be discouraged the more you go the more you will learn and the better you will get. Best advice I would give you is always think why? If you catch a fish think why did you catch it what did you do right why was the fi ahhh there. If you catch nothing do the same. Why didint I catch anything? Where why are no fish here and where could they be and why? Good luck.

@@ScaleUpadventures thanks for this info mate! I did give it a shot today and did get disheartened as I haven’t fished in over 10 years and had forgot it all and rushed into it. There are some awesome videos and information on here these days so going to educate myself before going back out. I have at the moment some 3lb line but I am thinking this is to thin and snaps super easily

@@ScaleUpadventures I was a lilydale lake today not sure what line I need but 3lb seemed super thin
