The rig reminds me when I was the kid fishing and how we used to have simple rigs and would use bread bait. Takes me back.

Great presentation. Quick Straight to the point. Never thought if using 100# mono. Will try here in Baja California.

I used these with the Team Catfish weight slides to make a kzbin.infoUgkxdmsDj7fQXe77DC0l7P7ua8B3PiESUubM Carolina rig and they were perfect for the ponds I fish. I have also used them to make 3 way rigs and these work perfectly. Haven't had any issues with them snagging in rocks or in weeds yet.

The 1st rig, we call that a Knocker Rig in Florida.. Very effective for Grouper & Snapper

Really interesting Andy. Would it be worth having a lumo bead next to the hook as well as either side of the sinker on the second rig?
@auslifeandy2 жыл бұрын
100% mate I sometimes put them on but not all the time. Same on the paternoster I used them to help with tangles if used

Which do you prefer using ?
@offroadfishing2 жыл бұрын
@@auslifeandy the first one is definitely easier, and is definitely awesome in the surf, the second one is sick for mullys, sharks etc and with the weight can really get it out far! To answer: Number 2

The first option I have a question do you think that bead close to the hook might make the fish abit skeptical?
@auslifeandy Жыл бұрын
I don’t think so mate a lot of the time the bright colours attract them I believe

That second rig looks good to me, I'll make half a dozen on the weekend if the weather is bad. Could you put a running hook on there if you are using a bigger bait like squid or a Pilly?
@auslifeandy2 жыл бұрын
yeah mate or tie a couple snelled hooks !

What size swivels and star sinkers do you use?
@auslifeandy Жыл бұрын
Depends on the conditions, either 6oz star or 8 Oz grapple sinker for the beaches I fish usually mate
