As far as I’m aware, the Abrams X is not a vehicle going into service. It’s just a tech demonstrator. Meaning it only exists as a “Hey, look how much cool new stuff we can fit onto a tank.” The M1E3 Abrams is going to the the next Abrams model to enter service, likely to have many of the same systems the AbramsX tech demo does, but they most likely will not be the same.

@@RK_BDR_TIMP Challenger 3 isn’t a test bed, it is going to be a fully fledged MBT. It was even mentioned in the video that around 150 are on order to update the ageing challenger 2 fleet (Which did absolutely need replacing, as though they are not bad, they are starting to show their age). And for a while the T-14 was supposed to do the same thing as the challenger 3 did for the British. Replace whichever modernisation of the T-72 Russia created this time. But unlike the Challenger 3 which is replacing a fleet of vehicles at peace time, was just too uneconomical to push forward during the invasion of Ukraine. Resulting in Russia falling back on the heavily modernised T-90s, T-80s and T-72s for their main ranks fleet which already had established production facilities and assembly lines in Russia (As well as ammunition plants to supply them with shells). Not to say that Russia is only using those vehicles though. Modernised T-55/54 and T-62/60 series tanks have also been pressured into service and modernised.

Т-14 был создан в "мирное время" и по расчетам должен был быть танком нового поколения, но на полях СВО эта схема не показала должных ожиданий, из за чего т-14 армата отправлена на переделку с учётом боевого опыта. (На данный момент известно что поменяют орудие, с 125мм на 152мм).

@@Thermaghost_286 the Turkish M60 Sabra MBT is an upgrade but isn't in a category of 3rd and 4th Generation MBTs, in which the Raytheon M60A3 SLEP is slightly within that category due to its systems being equivalent to the M1 Abrams and some further armor and engine upgrades (but still shouldn't be on the list). The TAM isn't an MBT, its an MMBT or Medium Main Battle Tank, an equivalent to the Sabrah light tank of the Philippine Army in terms of capabilites and firepower but its technologically in the same era as the Strv 103, which isn't ideal due to changing threats. The TAM 2C A2 has also been cancelled due to budget restraints and there are no plans for any upgrades of the TAM in the future except for small updates on its systems.
