LOVE the green 2x2 hat so much, but I am OVER THE MOON for that Clay Sweater. That looks amazing on you and in the Gilliatt. Really enjoyed seeing how much fun you're having on school holidays and with all the crafty goodness! Those bags are amazing! Have a great week.

I am an avid crocheter and the only hooks I will use are the Clover Armour. My second choice are the Tulip Etmo, but I still prefer the clover armour. I’ve tried so many different hooks, including the expensive fancy ones and I hate them! So maybe try one hook out and if you love it, you can buy a set. Good luck! Xoxo

Thank you so much for the info on the hooks you like. I will definitely try out a single and see how i like it. I will start with the Clover Armour. :)

Love the green beanie on you, it’s gorgeous. You’ve convinced me to make a Stella quilt cushion. Merry Christmas to you and your family ❤🎄🎁

I use Clover crochet hooks, perfect for me , love the brushed aluminium hook tips. The other brand is also a Japanese brand, they are called Tulip. Both have hooks made with brushed aluminium which makes the yarn glide easily.

For hats I use the 16” ChiaoGoo needles with the bent tips from the Knit Red line. Really helps the project to slide smoothly over the join and around the needles.

I crochet a lot and my favorite hooks are Clover Amour. A lot of times it depends on how you hold your hook. I use a knife hold. I like all of your hats. What fun.

Thank you so much Evie. I think i do a pencil hold. I am not sure if that is what it is called. But i definitely hold the hook like i hold a pencil.

I just found you and as a newly knitter you are an inspiration. Regarding crochet hooks I have used different ones, the ones that I have found easier on my hands, fingers and that grab the yarn very nicely are "Clover Soft Touch". I do hope this helps. Thank you. Natalia

Thank you for a great podcast! I have arthritis in my thumbs so I sympathize with you. My favorite crochet hooks are the Prym ones. I find them soft on my hands vs metal ones. Good luck

I love the summer shirt. And I love pink but it looks awful on me, but I could put a more flattering color on the chest, and knit with pink. 😊great top!

Thank you so much! Yes - that is a good way to incorporate a colour you like but it maybe doesnt suit your complexion. I feel that way about mustard. I love it, but it doesnt love me.

As you have explained with knitting needles, the crafter needs to find the brand that suits how they hold tool, the type of yarn, the stitches being done etc. I love clover amour hooks as they are the right length for me and the metal shaft isn’t too long. I do have other ones for the rare occasion the clover just doesn’t seem to be working with the yarn. Enjoy. If you would like to see some amazing clothing from an Australian designer checkout Susannah Kate ( Peppergoose). I have made the Shelley sweater and the Aveline Sweater. Love them both.

Regarding your Stella cushion, I have opened pillows before that had the pillow insert wrapped in quilt batting to make them a little bulkier. That might work to get the fit you want for the cover.

Thank you so much for the idea Traci. I love it! And if i couldnt find one, i could always make one. :)

Hi Tesh, That green hat looks so good on you! I'm making my first Oslo hat and am following your helpful videos about the brim. How many inches did you knit before joining the live stitches to the provisional cast on? Yours look just right to me!
@Marilyncrafter4 сағат бұрын
I love your podcasts and all the beautiful garments you make! I’m a not-so-great knitter and want to try the Two By Two hat. My questions are that it calls for worsted weight but you used DK and the same needle size and number of stitches. Also, you said you used long-tailed cast on. Did you mean German Twisted cast on? I just need everything spelled out specifically for me. I’ve made 2 hats so far and both have not been successful. Thank you for your help. ❤

I’ve used your tip working hat flat and the joining int round. Great tip!💜🙏🏽💜 do you think this hat would work as a larger slouchy hat?
@mostlyknitting6 сағат бұрын
Thank you so much. I am so glad you found that tip helpful. When i looked at ravelry project pages, some people had actually done that so it could definitely work for that look. :)

Thanks for sharing all your knits. I do have a question tho! How does one measure gauge of a quarter of a stitch? It seems very strange. Maybe I misunderstood?

Thanks for your teaching 🎉could you explain what it is that you do when knitting the hat with knitting the first row flat and then joining in the round to avoid purl bumps?
@agarciaro117 сағат бұрын
Can I ask you another question? 😂 which needles do you use flr sleeves? Do you always do italian bind off in sweaters?

I have crocheted since 1970. Boye hooks only ever.

Im also going to knit the Moby sweater. How many sts will you cast on for your swatch and how many rows will you knit? I want to get it right because it's for my daughter who has a 108cm bust. Im guessing I'll make the xl.
@mostlyknitting6 сағат бұрын
I was just going to do what Amy from NEKnits does. I looked at her ravelry project page and she has notes on what she did. She had 30sts cast on.
