I've owned a S-Wing for 10 years/30K miles. Love it. As to mileage, you should be closer to 50 MPG. I'd guess you huge windshield is a major factor. I also see a drop-off when my drive belt starts to wear out.

Careful with fixing the light in the under seat compartment. A lot of folks like to leave the bulb outa it because it is easy for the seat to not latch all the way and drain your battery…. Just a thought before you might accidentally strand yourself somewhere…. Some people wire a toggle switch into it
@exchiefkeith Жыл бұрын
I put a battery Puck light in mine instead of the bulb to avoid the issue.

I have the same year model Honda silverwing 600 and it gets 50-55mpg. A very good and very user friendly bike.
@motardsquid2 жыл бұрын
Interesting. The mpg i haven't really calculated, just based on what i read on the internet. Will fun a few tank fulls and see if it matches that mpg. 55mpg isn't bad for something so large.

Suzuki Burgman 650 and Honda Silverwing are Super Scooters from the front they kinda have a sport bike look i had a Suzuki burgman she would surprise you
@KetilDuna Жыл бұрын
I would have loved to try the silwer wing. I'm curious to what refined really means. I have the burgman 650 exec and a tmax 530 dx. None of them bring particularly good mileage to the table. The Burgman is really easy to ride and ride far, comfortably. The Tmax is more sporty, requires a bit more to drive and then corners better. Both are amazing touring machines - and both have heated seats in addition to grips - important in the nordics. Thank you for sharing.

Damn, the Suzuki burgman 650 gets nearly double your gas mileage. That's a bit shocking since it looks so similar. I think I'll stick with the Burgman. I'm glad you made the video though, it was really nice seeing the honda version.

I owned a Burgman 650 for two years. The rear suspension travel was so short that it was brutal on your back on anything but glass smooth pavement. I wonder how the Honda would compare? Scooters are generally underrated in the US though.

New to the channel brother, I'm getting a honda ruckus for my first set of two wheels, and I think after a few months I'll get me one of these.
@firstnamelastname67172 жыл бұрын
I owned a one seater Honda Ruckus, the best thing about this scooter is that it's very light weight and extremely great on gas mileage mine did a little over 100 miles on a one gallon tank. It's a very basic scooter, no tank gauge ,so you just gotta look at your marker for miles on each fill up. I'm a 216 pound man 5'8 height. It's a comfortable scooter, max speed was 40 miles an hour on a flat road, going up hill ,max speed will be 30 miles an hour. Going down hill just a little over 40+ Miles an hour. This scooter is really a maintenance free scooter. It's plain and simple easy going riding. I probably should have bought the bigger Ruckus two seater, maybe a little more power, etc. If you drive a car , drive your car to 40 miles an hour to have a sense of speed for your Ruckus, I don't recommend riding on any highways 🛣️ with this scooter, it's not fast and powerful enough to zip out of an issue, If you do get on any road's that require more than 40 miles an hour hopefully it's a short road, try to stay on the right side of the road and let cars and other faster vehicles past you by for your own safety. This scooter is very good in the villages, towns and the suburbs where speed is not a factor , you will enjoy it better in those areas, if you're in the city streets like in Boston to give you an idea, it's ok. Just letting you know what to expect. This is easy to park and store anywhere too. I liked this scooter because it is a Honda, but I quickly got bored of its power, etc. It's better to get something with more power too.
@PerfectTangent2 жыл бұрын
A Burgman 400 will get you up to 75mpg depending on how you drive it. I get 60-65mpg around town. I have a 2008, so I can't speak to the newer models.

Not necessarily an anal previous owner, but it's common for folks with a number of bikes to label each with the desired tire pressure.

The mileage sounds GREAT to me...I'm going to sell my GMC Savana Explorer (which gets about 10 mpg) and getting an S-Wing trike, so I will LOVE the gas mileage AND the $300 a year insurance cost ! (Instead of $1600 !)

i had 1 and like a idiot i sold it and the very next day i started looking for another one. it took me 4 years to find one. that didn't have 50k miles on it. i drove over 600 miles when i found one that only had 109 miles on it. and years later i still have it and ITS NOT FOR SALE. and about 65 to 70 mph i get around 55 MPG.

oh and my first one was a 2009 and the 2nd one and i still have it is a 2012. and my first one i got scared at 140 mph and it was still climbing. it was built to the hilt. and my 2012 the computer shuts it off at 117.4 mph. i have been thinking of putting a turbo on it also. but my driving fast days are over.

dang the more i watch her video the more i think you need to ride it more before you do a review on it. a Tmax cant hold a candle to a silverwing and the burgman 650 if on rough road will break your back its so rough. and yes if its a scooter i have owned one or still own it. i love scooters

It's a reminder of how Honda canada has walk the hell away from scooter riders since 2019. No 300cc , no 150cc , No new forza 350 or sh . No passport , ct or adv 150 for Canada. All you got is 50 to 125 min scooters leaving riders whom dont fit on them SOL . it's a reminder no matter how I love my honda , Honda doesn't love the scooter riders at all unless you fit on the Mini moto stuff. It's reminder of the fact that honda canada over changes for parts eg a bolt a I bought for 2 bucks in 75 cents in the usa. the drive belt for my scooter is 300 bucks in canada but I can buy the oem part out Thailand with a set of rollers for 130 bucks with shipping .

Honda Silverwing is the holy grail of scooters it needs to be brought back along with the mid 80s Elite 150 and 250 water cooled scooters. Those are actually worth what they charge for todays tinker toy scooters.

You MUST be joking! ....do you know how a CVT works?.................. its ALWAYS doing the PERFECT revs for the PERFECT torque no matter what speed you are doing.. my golden rule is if you compare a "normal clutch type bike with a CVT one at the same engine capacity to can effectively DOUBLE the "strength" of the motor on a CVT.
