Just heard him sing this tonight at The Jazz Forum in Tarrytown New York. A Beautiful, Retro Vibe Love Song as in the 60's.

My mom introduced me to Monty Alexander, she was always talking about one of her favourite songs - Big Yellow Taxi from the first ever record she bought out of college in the 70s, Taste of Freedom. I remember stopping at an ABM one day and my phone was connected to the Bluetooth in the car and my Tidal playlist was playing and it came on and man, the excitement and joy on her face, I wish I could bottle it and take it with me everywhere I went. She died shortly afterwards and I never did get to take her to that Monty Alexander concert I dreamed of taking her to from ever since I discovered my love for Monty's music, it's a shame his own country of origin doesn't appreciate this brilliant living Jazz piano legend. I'd kill to watch him and Ernest Ranglin play together in Jamaica before either myself or any of those two living legends die. It would be dedicated to my mother's memory. One of my ALL-TIME favourite songs - Love Notes!!!

I know exactly what you mean. I had a similar relationship with my dad. He'd take me to every concert, stage show and play he could and we'd have so much fun. But he died young before I got the chance to take him anywhere. But like those "love notes in an old coat," I smile when I remember our many trips to the beach in Portmore, Port Maria, Port Antonio and Port Morant. May the memories of your Mom last long and remain beautiful.🌹♥️🙏

@Luis Vázquez when the "*" appears, the words are "I found in an old coat". Another line "Now I find you" is really "Now I've found you".
