Mother and 6-year-old child hit, killed by school bus in Westchester County

A 6-year-old boy and his 43-year-old mother died Thursday after being struck by a mini school bus in Mamaroneck. FOX 5 NY's Linda Schmidt has the story.

Everybody during school hours, especially in a school zone, especially the school bus is supposed to yield to every crosswalk regardless of the light. This has to be fault of the driver. On a left turn?!?!

Bus driver couldn't see the mom or the kid🤔 na he was probably not paying attention to the road.

He was speeding because if he was driving slowly, when he made that turn, he would’ve seen them if he was looking both ways instead he killed -those two innocent people …! This could’ve been prevented…..😢

That's how the light and crosswalk are set up. When it's green for the driver to go the walk sign always happens at the sAme time...That's why at that point pedestrians and drivers have to be extra cautious.

They need a crossing guard, speed limit sign and the yellow pedestrian sign in the middle of the street like Bronxville. This is so heartbreaking 💔. My condolences to the family and friends 😢

Hummm an accident Hummm where are the well pay police 👮 officers of the town of Mamaroneck and Larchmont!? Zero crime in this upper towns, Yet no law enforcement,,,, coffee free for them , most amazing police cars, because there is no crime around here,,, yet yet 😢yet law enforcement and their fancy cars are trained to do nothing at all,,,, taxes pile up,, yet police officers do shit 💩 for the community,,, send them to the city 😅
