The problem is in Georgia, just like some other states, the police are required to arrest the aggressor in a DV situation. The cops explained to the woman's daughters that he didn't have a choice. I have seen other videos where the victims refused to press charges, but DV laws required the cops to arrest the aggressor regardless.

A lot of people in the comments don't seem to understand this, but the officers literally, by law, had to arrest this woman. In a domestic assault case, whomever hit first is usually named the primary aggressor, (even if the mum/Grandmother only gave her daughter a light pat on the shoulder, as she said). So, by law, the officers had to arrest her, especially as she admitted that she touched her daughter first.

My parents were teenagers. My father worked his ass off and my mom kept an immaculate home, whether it was an apartment or house in Philly or a trailer in Key West, we were never on welfare, never homeless and my mom never sent my grandmom to jail.
