Personally, I do think both are in the wrong here. Dee Dee did abuse her daughter and collected all the money by lying and is overall a bad mother. Gypsy was the one who planned the murder, and I do understand her motive, but I think she could have ended this in a better and different way.

@@Qhi9bw9sln 1. She had tried to reach for help but her mom played it off as she was brain dead 2. She was on medication that she shouldn't of been on so that altered her thinking drastically 3. She was treated as a brain dead child all her life but you expect her to think like a rational person? 4. Abuse, grooming, brainwashing it alters your mind and you felt trapped Tell me what she was supposed to do if NO ONE believed her or questioned the mother? I would love to know

@@laverna642 To clarify, yes I do completely understand her motive, and I understand how she felt as she was given a lot of medication and abuse through her life by her mother for the sake of earning money. I agree with a lot of parts of your comment, but I just think murder is a bit too far in my opinion, but I can see why she did murder Dee Dee.

whoa, poor Gypsy! I seriously don't understand how anyone could be that malicious and subjugating their child like that also I'm extremely disappointed in both the doctor and neighbor for not acting when they saw/found that something wasn't wrong physically or mentally with Gypsy but was being victimized and needed help!! if you notice that don't turn a blind eye damn it get involved and notify the police!!! If they had acted instead of listening to Dee Dee's lies a lot would have been avoided and Dee Dee would've been the one sentenced to "life" for: child abuse, years of embezzlement, unlawful imprisonment and false documentations.

compared to what she had to go through all those years, that mother deserves it but she should be in a rehabilitation center rather than jail.

I don't know if some of y'all know this but this woman literally named her child after a racial slur "Gypsy" that basically validates the centuries of brutality and prejudice against The Roma / Romani People to the point where they had to mix in with other cultures and ethnicities to keep themselves and their own culture alive. As of today, Roma / Romani people still have a lot to reclaim and rediscover about their own history that's practically been reduced to ashes , this including their language, music, art, other ground breaking achievements, etc. Good god, that's vile considering the abuse this girl went through.
@rosestrife14984 жыл бұрын
And that "American gypsy wedding" makes it worse! One of my friends is Romani and she says she had to swap colleges because people kept thinking Romani people were like that in the show and they kept asking when she'd marry her brother 🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦

Poor thing. She just wanted to leave from her mother. As well as the guy who helped her, he just wanted to help her. But that was still murder Also, I thought when she put on the red wig. I thought that would lead into the story of one of Steven D's other story's.

Everyone is going on about 'poor Gypsy' but the real 'poor' person in here is the boyfriend, he got lifetime in jail time for this and Gypsy only got 10 years.
@idunnomanseemskindagaytome14934 жыл бұрын
Becuase gypsy just plotted the murder, she didn't take an active part in it so that's why she got a lighter sentence. Honesty I was surprised that she was given 10 years, judging by all the true crime stories I've watched I thought she was gonna get 5 years max.

Always believed someone if they come for help. They could be lying but there is a risk that you could be ignoring someone who was in a life threatening situation.
