This is a tough position to be in as a mother. But, she is not responsible for what a grown man does. In no way is she proud of what her son did. The blame lies on the son.

Maybe, but a parent should know her son better than probably anyone and whether he,she is capable of heinous crime. They charge owners of dogs that maul someone whether they are adult age dogs or not.

Thats probably why he’s become what he is. I mean, his behavior is beyond audacious. The witness herself though-this was what, the third day in, and she still doesn’t understand that she should have her phone off? Or maybe she doesn’t think rules apply to her?

Back story. Tracy is the mother that Miles knows, because she took custody of him after her cousin (Miles Mother) died of H.I.V. Her and her husband gave him a great life and raised him to the best of their ability. Now to be in a courtroom with the child that you raised faced with a heinous murder is definitely an embarrassing event. How do I know? Because he was raised around my family. He played football and always used to play the police role. To the point that I knew he was gonna be a police officer. Maybe a sheltered life of getting everything that you wanted gave him an entitlement issue. I would have never expected him to be in this position, and I'm sure she didn't either.

@@RoyJones-nx6zi He was always a quiet person. Well mannered in his ways. I would have never suspected anything like this of him. I always knew he would be a police officer , because that seemed to be his main goal in life. So to watch this and see all the deviant things he is accused of doing is flabbergasting to all of us that know him I'm sure. I moved back to my home state of Minnesota so I am watching this from afar, but it is heartbreaking to see that heis capable of doing these things.

It’s hard for a mother to admit that their child is a predator. She was trying to protect him. It’s hard for any parent to see their child in jail or in court. The police should have acted when the young lady reported him to his supervisor. He was attempting to break into houses (He broke into a house and he was charged with that) he was stalking many people. He was allowed to keep his badge while doing all of these despicable things shame on the Police Department he worked for

You never fully know what a family member or friend is capable of. Even if you knew them your whole lives, they shared the same upbringing, they had similar experiences, values, opportunities. You just never know. I only hold family responsible if they knew of their behavior or past crimes before or cover for them after the fact. I do have a lot of sympathy for the family of killers because they suffer also from shock, sometimes disbelief, grief for themselves and the family they once had and now never will again, for the families of the victims, and for the loss of the family member whom they still love despite the heinous things they did. They might not like them, but they have love for them still. It’s sad all the way around. Everyone tries to always blame the parents and it’s so unfair. Your childhood is not the cause of every deviant thing you grow up to do.

She was subpoenaed so would've been arrested if she didn't show up. Any decent mother would give her child the benefit of the doubt. She was smart enough to know better than to attempt to lie under oath. So this was her only out for an extremely uncomfortable position. They didn't need her testimony so I don't know why they subpoenaed her to begin with. No one would confess to their mom after they murdered someone else's child. Keep in mind that she is facing the mom, dad, siblings and friends of the victim, people she could very well run into at church or the grocery store.
