I have a friend who lives about a mile from Don & Candus, and this is what she is saying. 1. Candus is a known drug addict and her drugs of choice are heroin and meth, but crack will suffice if meth isn't available. 2. The 'true' reason that Candus, Summer, and all 3 boys had their heads shaved is because they had lice so badly, but were so uncared for, that they chose to shave their heads. Apparently Summer was devastated to have her head shaved, worried that she couldn't wear bows and clips in her hair if it was shaved, but Don kept shaving it to prevent a reoccurrence. 3. Don was accused of rape (incest) by his sister who alleges that it happened her entire childhood. He denies this. However, Summer would do certain things when she was around other men that was wildly inappropriate for a 5 year old girl to do. These actions are typical of small children that are being sexually assaulted by a man, and he fits the profile. 4. Don is a very aggressive, violent man. He would beat his children when they did anything he didn't like, and it was known by everyone who knew this family. That is part of the reason the boys were taken by Child Protective Services. Another reason was... 5. Their house was filthy. You see how nasty it was during an interview? Apparently that is immaculate compared to how filthy it was prior to this happening. The police department is the one who reported the state of the house to CPS and they acted immediately. This is just some of what I've been told, and it really paints a picture. I feel confident that they are 100% responsible for what happened to Summer. They are pathetic and disgusting.

There was an 18 year old girl home alone babysitting 4 children ages 1-8years and someone drove by the home shooting. The 18 y/o immediately put the kids inside and called the police. It took them an hour and another call to 911 to even have someone come out. I know this girl personally and she showed me the video from her house and the two 911 calls so she def wasn’t lying! They literally do not do anything about anything around here. All the drugs and shit that run rampant around here is insane. The police only care about marijuana. As someone who grew up with an alcoholic father and an physically impaired mother, I can say this with absolute certainty. I think lice is likely, but lice isn't in and of itself a sign of neglect. Lice are very contagious, one kid in a class gets it and all it takes is a hug to spread it. On top of other factors it can be neglect, especially because it's hard to get lice out of a dirty home so chronic lice can be compounding evidence for poor hygiene.

There are definietly signs of neglect in this case. Summer's room seems so depressing. No wonder she didn't wanna sleep in there. I just want to point something out because I had a FAMILY member go “MISSING” once. My BROTHER. He’s special needs/nonverbal autistic and mentally disabled. I was watching him one early Saturday morning. We were out front on the porch. I had to go to the bathroom which was about 20 feet away from the front door. I left the front door open and the bathroom door open so I can listen to him. I was in the bathroom not more than 60 seconds. I go back outside and he’s gone. I search the sides of the house, the back yard, inside the house. Nothing. I’m seriously panicking. I run down to one end of the street then the other, looking everywhere in case he wandered off. 20 minutes later I called the cops. I then called my mom sobbing telling her what’s happening and she says “what are you talking about? His part time Saturday caretaker picked him up. She said she popped her head in and yelled that she was there and took him” I was livid. The caretaker either lied about announcing herself or I simply didn’t hear her. So it is entirely possible to be in close proximity and not hear a dang thing.

Agreed. I live in the woods and I am not sure I would register the sounds someone would make moving through the woods. There is so much natural noise in nature it would drown out a human walking. I was thinking this as well. There is a case that happened recently in Australia where a little girl was abducted from a camp site. The perpetrator unzipped the tent and lifted the child out in a sleeping bag without anyone waking up. At first my mind couldn’t make sense of it, but the more I think about it the more I realise that the child’s parents weren’t expecting her to go missing. I reckon we pass abnormal things off ALL the time without even realising it.

Being from a similar background, I'm torn. Providing a 15 year old with smokes and alcohol was normal. They lied to keep other kids from being taken away. Paranoid neighbors who don't want land searched. Typical. If you got more than a dozen dogs, one will always be barking so you become earblind to it. But the drug activity around the area is troubling. Not sure if I trust the 15 year old entirely but who knows. I need more information. Summer's mother Candace said she had called her husband Don as soon as Summer went missing (on her own phone) then after Don told her to hang up and call 911, she threw her own phone and went to get her mother "Candy's" phone to call 911 because AT&T is the only company that gets service at their house? She was just on the phone with Don, how on earth was she on her own phone if it doesn't get service there? This story just doesn't add up at all. The fact that a grown woman is hanging out with a 15 year old boy, giving him alcohol and vapes. The planting of "flowers" directly "before" the disappearance of Summer. It takes a lot of money and effort to get rid of lice with one or two people but in a house with several people, it's horrible, especially if you keep having to do it over and over. At my elementary they don't send kids home if they have lice anymore because it doesn't have significant health impacts (that's the explanation I was told anyway). That's a real hardship on disabled people and poor people because, although the policy makes the risk higher for everyone, they don't have the same resources to fix it

Candice actually says in a few other interviews “I walked back over to my mom’s trailer” after walking Summer to their house when she wanted to go inside. Two things that stood out in this case: the parents refer to their daughter in the past tense in the interview at the beginning, which could be a red flag. Also, they report her missing, within 10 minutes of discovering that she isn't in the basement. Wouldn't they search for awhile first. Also, they immediately jump to the conclusion that she was abducted. This seems unlikely, because how would the abductor know that she was in the basement? Also, it's an isolated property, that isn't easily accessible. If I was the police, I would verify the timelines, by looking at CCTV in the stores, or talking to the employees. Then I would look at the cell phone records to figure out when the calls were made, and what text messages were sent and when. Once you have a verified timeline, then you can confront the inconsistencies in the stories. The family is key to this case...that's my gut instinct.

Something about Hunter gives me the absolute creeps. The way he talks in his interview is giving “its cool to be so close to this famous event” or like he’s trying to make candus seem super involved. Especially the part where he talks about what he overheard on the phone call to Don. Saying that “there was a guy on their property walking around and wanting to touch the kids” and when the reporter asks him to clarify what touch means he plays dumb and says “idk to hug them?” Something about that struck me as very odd. A 15 year old doesn’t know what it means when we say that someone “touches children”? As if he’s trying to act like he doesn’t know what the significance of that phone call would have meant if it were true. If anything, I don’t think what he’s saying happened is true, I think he’s trying to have his 15 minutes of fame

I really don’t think the parents had anything to do with it. What if Hunter walked to their house to continue hanging out with them, saw Summer outside and walked away with her. There’s something not right about him. A similar thing happened to my 4 year old son. We were out in the front yard when our pizza was delivered. I took it inside and told him and my older daughter to come inside. My older daughter came in but not my son. I asked my daughter where he brother was. She said he was in the yard. I went out to get him and he was all the way down out street about to go into a wooded area with a neighbor boy who was 14 years old! I ram down and got him. I told the boy you’re too old to be with a 4 year old and told him not to play with my kids again. It happened so fast. That’s why I believe it is possibly that that’s what happened.

Such a sad story. I don't think the parents are directly involved. It doesn't surprise me at all that their body language was deemed "guilty" though. It seems like the mother left to meet with her dealer and Summer was gone when she got back. Or maybe she was off selling grandma's prescription. Or possibly she was at home, but so high that she nodded off and didn't hear anything going on and the inconsistencies with her story stem from not wanting to admit that. Who knows. Both parents strike me as feeling guilty and remorseful because they FEEL responsible, not because they actually killed her. I think the mother reacts so strongly to any talk about drug dealers or drug gangs because she believes that is what happened because of her involvement in that lifestyle. Hunter is just a teenager. Most teens think they know everything and often exaggerate (he makes himself the hero in his stories where it isn't necessary).

My thoughts exactly. All of the stories of potential "what ifs" come from him and aren't verified by the family. "she was under the water and maybe it was in her lungs", look she could have drowned and they hid her body, I read about that online once, wasn't me I saw her go under. If she was kidnapped and sexually assaulted, it's probably someone who knew the family and a random 15 year old sure sounds at least possible.

The differences between Candus and Hunter’s stories is really interesting. The length of her trip to the grocery store seems irrelevant to what happened to Summer but why do their stories differ so much?? That makes it seem like it IS relevant somehow. I do genuinely believe they had some neglect issues with Summer, seeing the state of their home, but I don’t think they killed her. Hunter on the other hand feels like all his statements are altered. “I’m a tech guy 🤓” Sounds like he’s basking in the attention. The parents just seem regretful not guilty. Cases like these where the public makes a suspect the criminal in their minds always hinders the search from the ACTUAL criminal.

I truly believe Hunter is way more involved with what happened to Summer. I don’t believe any of their stories about the swimhole. I think something happened to Summer at home on that property by the swing. That’s why Candus keep trying to pretend she was watching Summer every move/ painting the picture of how she went missing from the basement. The interview Candus did with Chris when they were over by the swing, is the first time I’ve seen a different vibe from Candus. Candus whole vibe changed when she was standing at the swing with Chris. Candus even picked up a kitten to sooth herself. And when Candus/Chris walked back towards the house from the swing, Candus was so zoned out that she didn’t even hear Chris talking to her. Chris asked her if it was okay to follow her into the house and she didn’t even hear/nor answer. Almost like being at that swing was a trigger!

This is interesting but I think its also important to remember that candace's involvement has no evidence at the moment, and so we must consider that she is still a mom who lost her baby girl and is probably in an indescribable amount of pain, which in my opinion makes it very likely that speaking about summer whilst being near her fav swing that she loved playing on, could have been a trigger, not out of guilt but rather out of truly just longing for her daughter? just a thought

I don’t feel that the dad has anything to do with it. Yes, he does have a history of domestic issues but I think he was at work when whatever happened happened and genuinely misses his daughter. I find Hunter’s part in this all really strange, I’ve thought to myself that his relationship with Candus could have been inappropriate with how much she called him and provided him with alcohol and vapes, but I don’t think his mother would have let him be around her if she thought they had some sexual or romantic relationship. The buying teens alcohol and vapes is pretty normal for impoverished rural communities. I do find it weird that Hunter would spend all that time with her, especially that day, and now give these interviews like he suspects her and that he went through her phone and whatnot and mentioning drug dealers. I’ve seen other youtubers videos like Noor Jasmine and Stephenie Harlowe that give some more details about Candus’ possible drug connections. I think it’s very possible whatever drug dealing Candus was involved with (allegedly) took Summer. I know the dad mentioned other gangs near them but I don’t really know why they would take their daughter “unprovoked”. I don’t know how much human trafficking would be going on in a rural area like that and who would take her during the day from her own home. I do think Candus has not being saying all she knows and that she knows who took her and why. If it had been an accident or the parents murdered her I think they would have found more evidence supporting that at this point. I think it’s very likely Grandma Candy and Candus were involved with drugs whether that’s just abusing prescriptions or harder drugs. This video didn’t really get into the neglect the kids were probably experiencing, but other KZbinrs have provided more details about the head shaving, and how Summer seemed to really be attached to a woman at their church, probably because she saw how put together she was compared to her own mother. I do think the kids were neglected, and that Candus and Don were abusive to each other, but I don’t think that is what lead to Summer dying or being taken unless it connects to drugs. (Like the mother being too preoccupied with drugs than keeping her kids safe from that life.)
@daniellemclean68962 жыл бұрын
Why the heck is Hunter snooping through her phone and bragging, “I’m good with tech?” Clearly not the first time he’s done that. What’s that about? Why did Hunter run off in the woods? I believe there is a connection between the parents, Hunter, and the grandma’s medicine and whatever chaos they had to go through to get the meds cost Summer’s life. Way too many red flags for her to be abducted on a day like this. They could prob solve the crime if they follow them next time she picks up pain meds. That’s where the missing pieces are hiding, whoever they’re buying, selling, and trading pain meds with.
@harleydavidson84672 жыл бұрын
YES YES YES !!! I’m wondering what her “prescription” was for. Likely narcotic, and it seems like a drug deal type situation. She could’ve been giving Hunter her pills or selling them.

In regards to the shaving, the parents do not contradict each other. The mom says she wanted her head shaved, the dad says Summer tried to shave her head in the back multiple times and that is why it was getting out of control, so they decided to finally shave it like they claim she wanted. Listen closely!

Exactly. I'm sick of this being misconstrued 🙏💜 the hair is also irrelevant. 5 yr olds are maturing at younger rates and some, do care of what others think. Not all but is a thing now. All is situational too. Maybe candus felt she would feel insecure, as is insecure in self so projected that to summer feeling that way too. Maybe about candus own insecurity. Not summer.

You should take a listen to Reverend Donna Seraphina’s reading on what may have happened to Summer. She’s a psychic that regularly works with the FBI on solving these kinds of cases. In her reading she goes into descriptions of local landmarks that may be familiar to locals. She also describes appearances of certain locals in that area.. If only her videos would reach the right audience. I feel like someone in that town would know who she is describing or the location of some of the places she describes. I’ll come back and link the video once I find her reading

It’s always a red flag when parents refer to their child in the past tense when they go missing. She was this….she liked this…as if they know that she is deceased. Parents who feel genuine concern for their child who is missing usually try to remain hopeful and stray away from referring to them in the past tense, i.e. she is, she likes, she has etc. just my two cents. There’s a lot not adding up here.
@candieee2 жыл бұрын
Actually, this is not true. My best friend‘s little sister was abducted and murdered by her neighbor. She was missing for a couple of weeks before she was found. There were several times when we were hanging pictures in the neighborhood that her mom cried and said what’s the point somebody has her and isn’t going to give her back!! And,she’s probably already dead!! She was saying what the rest of us thought. Amanda was dead and we all knew it and thought it. When a young child goes missing of course her family is going to think like this!! Why would we not?!
@DawnDiggetyNoDoubt2 жыл бұрын
@@candieee actually it is the truth with the majority of parents of missing children. It was literally 2-3 days after she was missing that they both continuously refer to their daughter in past tense . Not saying like ..oh she's probably dead. Less than 48 hours missing and you are talking about their child in past tense every time they talk about her. Come on now. It's not only that ...they got the rest of the kids taken from them AND the cops/fbi are saying there is No sign of abduction. Which usually means they believe the parents/relative did it.

@@candieee I actually lost my child when her father abducted and killed her 14 years ago. For the past 11 years I have worked with other families of missing, exploited and abducted children. I have also been in attendance to many presentations by FBI and homicide detectives that covered everything from statement Analysis to body language analysis. In no way was I trying to dismiss your comment. I was saying the majority of parents will not speak about their child in the past tense even if they think or even know their child is dead for a bit. They may slip back and forth but usually if both parents are talking in past tense immediately after having a child go missing it is a sign to watch out for. I again was not trying to offend. So sorry for the loss of your friends child. May she find strength and purpose until they meet again.

Immediate investigation of receipts, cctv and questioning of employees would nail down a timeline. This timeline should have then been released to the public for corroboration and tips. This would also cast doubt on whichever party is lying (mom or 15yr old boy)…too many inconsistencies. If someone is lying about smelling things they are lying about big things.

If you are new to this case… something Kendall didn’t mention, in the interview at the beginning of this video, Candace and Don talk a lot about Summer in past tense. For sure. I think through trying to cover things up, they’re just coming across more shady, for example- Candace giving Hunter alcohol and a vape. It definitely seems like they’re trying to cover up excessive drinking/drugs. I’ve dealt with addiction so I know the signs unfortunately. I think mix up in stories with the store could be because she was picking up weed or something. Just speculation but it would make sense. It would also make sense with the body language experts saying they look guilty too. I really don’t think they harmed their daughter, but they’re simply trying to cover their tracks with anything else that could get them in trouble.
