Motive Power Wishlist for Train Sim World 4 (Pt. 1)

Here's a list of diesel and electric locomotives that I'd like to see in Train Sim World some day, as unlikely as they may be (especially where the KiwiRail 'DSG' shunter is concerned). I put 'Pt. 1' in the title just in case I end up making another TSW wishlist video in the future.

The idea of a New Zealand route is interesting and one you'd be keen on, but then again, you'd be pretty mad if DTG screwed it up. I would certainly like to see the Hymek in TSW, again, not just for Bear, but Bristol to Exeter in the 70s with the 35, 42 and 52.

I dare say the Class 91 would be a very popular choice. As for the Class 68, I don't think she matches the time period of the Fife Circle in-game.

This is specifically going on for the harlem line in new york. Would definelty like to see Amtrak P42s and the cars it has attached and also the kawasaki m8 railcars. Would add so much more variety and trains to the schedule, of course including we can drive them.

@@TheTrainspotterFromTauranga Both Amtrak and Metro-North use P32AC-DMs for locomotive hauled services. On the Harlem Line, you can find both Metro-North EMU and Locomotive Hauled Commuter services as well as Amtrak services.

Very interesting picks... This is what I'd have: 1. Class 35, same as above in the video 2. Westrail P class diesel, along with Geraldton-Karara Iron ore line 3. Trans-perth A units with either the Fremantle-Midland Line, or Perth-Armadale line. 4. Class 55 Deltic 5. (I KNOW DTG Doesn't seem to like steam traction for TSW but) either the Ivatt 2mt, BR Standard class 4, or a GWR Pannier tank.

Personally I'd like to see the class 68s, preferably under TPE because of the Mk5 DVTs and coaches used with them and also the class 88s (they are basicly the electric version of the 68s). And a welsh route featuring the class 755s or 197s.

755s are on Greater Anglia; TfW's units are the Class 756. In any case, I'd also like to see a Welsh route with a 197 in TSW, preferably Llandudno to Blaenau Ffestiniog. As for any TPE rolling stock in the game, that's quite unlikely because TPE is part of First Group and they don't want to do the licensing for Dovetail (at least, I think that's the case).

⁠​⁠@@TheTrainspotterFromTaurangaFirst Group doesn’t run TPE anymore due to them being stripped of the franchise last year by the DFT for their unreliability of running the TOC properly (not surprising at all) so TPE is now under DFT management so a TPE route could still be a possibility!

I know DTG lost the SNCF license (And I'm not even surprised given how bad the LGV Mediterranée is), but... If a french route is made, I really want to see : Diesel locomotives : 1 - CC72000 Nez Cassé 2 - BB66000 (or basically just any class of this diesel family) 3 - BB67000 (more specifically the 67400 subclass, which was the most distributed subclass of this locomotive) 4 - BB71000 (The last diesel mechanical locomotive in France, on an adequate heritage railway line) 5 : Y7100 (diesel hydraulic shunter) and Y7400 (Diesel semi-automatic shunter) Electric locomotives : 1 - CC40100, CC6500 and BB22200 Nez cassés 2 - BB25500 Danseuse 3 - BB26000 Sybics. TGVs : 1 - TGV Atlantique (If possible on the line between Nantes and Les Sables d'Olonne, prior to electrification so we can use CC72061, CC72062 and CC72064 to pull the TGV on said line, as it was in real life) 2 - Eurostar Class 373s 3 - ETR 1000 (Frecciarossa) for runs on the LGV between Paris and Lyon My wish list is quite long now that I think of it. I wasn't aware of DTG losing the SNCF license. As for the Marseille to Avignon route, I agree that it's bad.

First dtg don't lose the license because the route is bad. What's with the defeatist way of thinking. Dtg explained more French high speed is unlikely because the routes themselves are massive and marseille avignon is an exception. To extend it logically would require hundreds of miles of track which isn't realistic for tsw

Who's complaining? As a British rail enthusiast and simmer, I agree there is too much UK content. I'd personally love to see some NZ content. Some of my favourite routes are German as well as some oddballs, like the Turkish Taurus Mountains route and a couple of the Japanese routes. In fact, I enjoy routes from all parts of the world - except the US, which I find mind-bogglingly dull! (Actually you missed the US from your list of well-covered areas, with the UK and Germany. There are dozens of US routes in TSC and a fair few for TSW. Some bias there perhaps? 😉 ).
