i was taught at club mx that if there is ever a rut that u dab your foot alot to just keep it on cuz it is smoother that way u wont make as many mistakes. and u can always build from smooth and slowly get faster. so while all your buddies are making mistakes and u stay smooth u will gain in em just wanted to add my 2 cents abt what i learned

Prime example of this is Kenny at one of those salt lake rounds when he hit that inside rut to get by coop.... really amazing to see done at that kind of speed

Do you still push on the outside peg or push equally on both to keep your butt light on the seat?

Most the time you push on the outside gives you more traction

Because this technique is useful when there is a good berm or rut, peg weighting is not as critical. However, the outside is still weighted slightly more.
