I still use my Moto G1 with Android 5 as a Music Player/ Chromecast Controller and I bought the Moto G4 for both of my kids running Android 7. GREAT PHONE, cant complaint at all, for the price, the phone delivers. I bought the G1 for 180 back in 2013 and still running good.

Options for the 4GB/64GB US version of the Moto G5 Plus just before Prime Day 2018: $299 new from Best Buy ($249 IF activated on select carriers -- none of which I'm on or want to switch to just now); $285 Open Box-Excellent-Geek Squad Certified in black or $265 Open Box-Excellent in gold from Best Buy (no restrictions on which carrier it's activated on); or $234 Used-Very Good or $247 Used-Excellent from Amazon. I have $25 in Amazon gift card credit, while Best Buy is offering 6-month 0% interest financing. Of course, if there's an incredibly good Prime Day special on the G6, G6 Play, or G5 Plus (32GB versions are all Amazon Prime Exclusive phones), the above calculations might still get discarded. But upgrading from my trusty old Moto G4 Play to something with double the RAM and quadruple the internal storage (esp. if it gets an Android Oreo update soon) would seem like such a luxury!

Shantanu Kundu Pros- Good battery, lasts for a day. Camera is good in daylight. Performance is awesome. Stock Android experience(almost) Games run smoothly It's a good phone for an average user. Design is good, feels premium. Big thumbs up for the turbo charging. Fingerprint Scanner is brilliant. One button nav works just fine. Moto gestures are fun. Cons- Camera during low light isn't that good, it's blurry. Camera bump Over priced, as 15k version is unavailable on Flipkart I didn't find any other complaint with this device. If you want a budget phone with premium experience, go for it. I don't recommend Redmi and Honor, cause the built quality is pathetic and they aren't durable.
@rohantolani40657 жыл бұрын
Saurav Shet Wow, man I wrote many comments and answers about the build quality of Xiaomi and nobody agreed. Finally found a guy who agrees. I hate my Redmi Note 3, coz it's bent already after falling from 3ft height. Also been trying for 15 days after getting permission to unlock my bootloader, still can't help. MI forum is just shit. They copy paste the same answer for every complaint again and again, and whenever I complain, they transfer my complaint to the solved section. FML, WILL NEVER BUY A XIAOMI!
@SandmanDeltaForce17 жыл бұрын
Saurav Shet Oh really? Build quality is pathetic? Dude just cuz you have a Moto doesn't mean it has the best built quality. it's even cheaper then redmi note 4 cuz in tear down video it was shown that Motorola used a metal plate to give metallic effect whereas redmi has a metal frame.

Seriously WTF! is wrong with American or western tech reviewers. You can't let a phone pass for it's design just cuz it's "budget" phone atleast not in 2017. Motorola isn't selling this phone for 50$ that you can let it pass. In India Moto g5+'s biggest competition is Lenovo's own P2 which looks almost like 1+3 with a full metal body and it looks amazing to look at plus a 5000mah battery and almost the same specs plus stock android. Consider the market and the age you live in then let a phone pass for it's design.

Why does everyone call this the "Budget smartphone king" when there is so many better options out there, even from lenovo themselves? For the same price, I can get a Lenovo P2 with a 5100 mAh battery, a Huawei phone with dual cameras and better design, an LG phone with dual cameras, a Samsung phone with amazing build quality,... The list goes on and on, yet no one in the tech industry seems to actually put in the effort to look into any of the competition. The budget smartphone game isn't the same it used to be and absolutely nothing this phone achieves is extraordinary.

I own a Moto g5plus. I believe that this is the king of budget smartphones but would've been happier if the price was a little cheaper like the xiaomi redmi note 4 ! the specs is the same in both the phones but I purchased Moto g5plus just because I believed that the camera would be better and I love stock Android! But to my little disappointment, the camera is not as good as expected. It is good for the price range but could have been a lot better Looking at the specs on paper. It is weird that the camera performs good sometimes and goes completely bad few times! I believe The images in low light are the best one can get in this price segment.the camera performs really good in manual mode but goes grainy sometimes in auto mode. I just hope that Lenovo doesn't ditch the update strategy that Moto had earlier as the camera and few other features of the phone need a few tweaks for them to perform their best !.
