All this hate for Moto phones being bad, I don't get it honestly. These phones are affordable (way less than $900-$1000), the software is clean(some people notice and prefer that), and their processors aren't that bad; not snapdragon 800 series but its decent. For people who don't care about flash and fancy and just want "PHONE", these are great.

@@DeepanshuNagpal tg fan here i guess, well its ok, a 12mp with 1.6 micron size pixel, way better than any 12mp in the segment, and there are other youtubers which has done some practical life scenario durability test, please have check on all that (eg guptaji channel) phone is good enough durable for a normal person use, mostly the non compromised sd 660, and 4000mah battery! Nothing can beat that in its price range

I'm really excited about the G7 power. The 5,000mah battery and lower res display should provide longer battery life than anything else, and the lower-res display should be easier on the GPU, allowing higher framerates than an Adreno 506 would push on a 1080p phone like the normal G7. I could care less about the loss of the dual-camera for the battery life and performance gain, and lower price. That being said...I do wish a 64gb model of the G7 power would release in the US.

I own the Moto e4 Plus with that 5000 mah battery; I grant you it's a couple of generations back and it doesn't have a zippy processor, but for me and at $99, it does what I need the device to do. I was eyeballing the g6 but I want a 6" device and the g7 seems to be my next buy though it lacks the g7 power, battery. My gal has the Samsung G9 Note, paid right at $1000 for the darn thing. She can't live without the darn thing and its a year old but the display screen has a red hue like one colors background on text documents and with the exception of Pokemon Go, doesn't play games. Looking for a better camera experience than the e4 plus, but that said, it has proven to be a darn good phone. My bottom line is, I'm not paying what today's top of the line phone's now cost nor am I caught up with the latest greatest device. Thanks!

Agreed!. Just looked at the samsung s10.... hate the curve shit. And not enought battery. Too much power and resolution hurt the battery life. Im coming from a samsung j7. I dont mind 720.

@@berrywr1 I used to have an e4 Plus, but really want a phone with Pie. I settled for the normal G7 since the G7 Power in the US was cut back. I can deal with using external storage for media/photos, but I need alot of apps and games on internal. The complete lack of a G7 Plus and the cut back G7 power is really limiting, Motorola does not treat their US market as well as their international market. The international G7 power would be my ideal device, I'd gladly spend $250 on a phone that has decent specs, 5000mah battery, and enough storage for my needs. On 32gb, I find myself regularly uninstalling and reinstalling software....

Ikr, My only complaint with my G6 Plus is that it's got no IP rating but that's about it. even more expensive phones like the Oneplus 6T has no IP rating. My next phone will probably be the G7 Plus or the eventually the G8 Plus. One of the biggest reason is the Price for what you'll be getting, very many features for only about 300$. Also they make the phones really durable and the glass back makes them really hard to bend. I had my Sony XA1 bend and it was the worst.

I had the Moto E2 in 2015, it got really slow after just 2 years but I decided to give Motorola a try and got the G4 Play in 2017, seems to be holding up fine and I'm interested to upgrade to the G7 Play :) Love the pure Andorid experience and the small things Motorola added on.

I just got a g6 and i am quite fine not having waited for these. G6 was 199 on amazon prime, and the g7play does not look at all like it will match up. Very minimal jump in specs over the generation it seems. And everyone that is commenting about all the fancy phones out of China with crazy specs for the price, they dont work on Verizon networks so its moot for a good chunk of US consumers. Biggest selling point of moto phones atm is their global use.

Using an 1-2 year old processor isn't that bad because companies still use the 835's and 845's that are even more outdated than the processors on the G7 series. A 3000mAh battery is not really that bad since the screen is only 1080p and the processor on the phones are pretty energy efficient from the beginning. Also, fast charging does matter. nobody would buy a phone that charges for 2-3 hours. those fast charges from 0-100 in about 30-90 minutes can be really helpful. People like you should just shut up instead of talk shit with no complete facts and no real arguments.

G7 line is a disappointment of major proportion. Mediocre processor, large notch, small notch, this one's bigger that one's smaller, all different colors and builds, single camera, dual camera, umm did we just grab what was left on the shelf and throw it together? Sub 1080p screen resolution and 2gig of ram is unacceptable on any phone this day and age. A multimillion dollar company producing junk like this is pathetic.

@@btyhntr I think the G7 series have the same processor as the G5 Plus and 3 or 4gb ram depending on the model. But the G5 Plus is going for a deep discount now so it's probably a smart move.

@@btyhntr I actually own the G7 play and it does record 4K video at 30fps and even has image stabilization 👍
