I bought the G7 Power on sale for $199 when it was released. At that price point I definitely think it is worth it. The battery life has been great for me so far (2 days with heavy use, 3 days with moderate). The UI is minimal enough that the processor handles every app I run perfectly fine. If it lasts me a year and a half I will be more than happy with my choice. The camera is acceptable. If your focus for your cell phone is gaming, social media, and navigation, this phone seems to fit the bill. I would love to have a premium flagship phone, but whenever I think about handing over $800+ for something that has an 18-24 month shelf life for me it makes me sick to my stomach. I'll gladly instead pay $250 for something I might replace in 12-18 months that is maybe 15% behind a flagship premium device.

How's multitasking in general with the phone? The US variant has only 3GB of RAM which is a huge turnoff since I multitask very often and am coming from a Droid Turbo which also has 3GB of RAM and isn't exactly the best at multitasking. Hopefully Android Pie brought more improvements in that aspect compared to Android Marshmallow

@@someusername1872 it really depends on how much multitasking. For me going between games and social media and email it is fine. If you're really looking to be a power user and multi-task with everything then probably not. The 3GB is enough for me to get by without much slow-down for the everyday stuff, but I imagine for heavy use it will eventually hit a wall somewhere.

If you live in the US, this is the best phone for the price. I need a phone that works with CDMA carriers and no other phone in this price range that works with Sprint or Verizon comes close to the G7.

Pony up a few more and get the moto Z4. Full HD with a 3600 mAh battery. Its pretty much the successor to the moto Z play. Also had oled and better build. 500 bucks but you can get it cheap if you use VW.

I bought the G7 power as a replacement for my mom’s Moto G4 but being older she was happy with what she had so I got to keep the Moto G7 power for myself. Now I have an iPhone 11 Pro Max is my main phone but I do play with the G7 power quite a bit and it is a nice phone I have never spent money on a premium phone only bought budget phones that they could afford and for such people this phone is wonderful. Does everything reasonably well with a very powerful battery and with screen size that stacks up against most phones regardless of cost. Oh and all these are great phones. Great video and appreciate it. As I always say, you have a friend in Columbus Ohio!

I freaking love so many things about my power (Supra on Cricket). The battery life is a beast. I charge my phone every other day for about 20 minutes. The display really doesn't bother me. I know some say they see a difference but it's just so negligible at 6.2". Wi-Fi calling works like a dream! My only beef, that damn rear camera. Ugh I was hoping for a dual lens for some dynamic range but wasn't surprised when it didn't happen in the power. No biggie for the price point.....but the optics are crap and the focus is soft as hell. I've played with manual modes. I've used some clip on lenses. Yes not high tech stuff but things that usually improve sharpness for this res and display. Nope just soft soft soft. Ironically, the unusually high res "selfie" camera is pretty crisp. Of course as a female in my 30's, I require a little gaussian blur in my t zone which the stock camera app provides with a slider. Hooray! So if the camera (and display) is just a bit more important than battery life and Wi-Fi calling, then skip it. If you aren't a camera snob trying to find a personal phone AND daily shooter for under $300USD you might be impressed.

something can definatly be said about the durability of motorola phones. I've had a g4 play for about 3 years now and im looking to upgrade to the g7, but its definatly outlasted its price. I've dropped it multiple times, and the entire phone is slightly bent from resting heavy objects on my leg with my phone in my pocket at work. yet it still works fine, the only problem is it sometimes fails to run apps or is a bit slow, but i credit that to the fact it is a phone made in 2013 running 2019 software. Motorola phones are the way to go if your person that isn't exactly passionate enough to throw boat loads of cash to samsung or apple.

So...I have had this phone for exactly a week now and I've only had to charge it 2 1/2 times to full 100% power. That's right, TWICE and a half, with heavy/stress test usage and it currently holds 79% charge after being fully charged 25 1/2 hours ago. During that period, my iPhone XR had to be charged 3 times with moderate usage(with one day equivalent of it being turned off). It's an absolute beast of a battery in this baby.

Cricket recently started offering the G7 Supra (Power) for 20 bucks after discount for bringing your number! These phones come with Gorilla Glass. I tripped and caught my fall with my phone in hand and while it did break the screen, it didnt shatter the screen and the break is near the edge so it doesnt affect the use of the phone. Ive had other Motorola phones that survived many drops, but the batteries eventually died. If they made these so that you could replace the battery easily, it would be the PERFECT phone for me. Love the gesture control of the flashlight in particular!

Just got the G7 power from Metro by T Mobile and I absolutely love it. I HIGHLY recommend it if you need a cheap quality phone for work or school cause this baby has a power for the tasks at hand. I work with engines and other car parts alike and the phone has withstood with the nature of my job.

I'm running a early G-6. My wife uses a G-7 Power. She uses it for work and all her games and apps. Impressed with both. After 26 months of use I had my G-6 battery replaced. I want this phone to work for several more years. I think they are stylish. They work well for this middle aged couple

@@willia3r Sadly they are not, I took mine into a repair shop and had it done for $79 It's 1-2-21 and I'm on my G-6 replying to your message. My wife's G-7 Power is going strong. My father in law has a E-6 and the battery is replaceable on it.... Go figure

Believe it or not, we don't use our phones for everything. We mostly use it to communicate with people using apps, whether it's calling, texting or snapping, as well as other social media apps so camera and screen is also important. The Pocophone F1 might be popular in india because of the limit budget and the fact that you guys use your phones as a primary gaming device, were as you wouldn't even imagine playing any games outside for indie titles on our phones. If any of us did want a powerful phone, we'd go for Samsung, Apple, LG, HTC or even Sony. We would not go for a cheap doggy Chinese phone.

Not good. Check it out on phonedb.net but it isn't good. There's one version that appears passable on AT&T and T-Mobile (2, 4, 5, 12, 66 only). But other bands (14, 29, 30 on AT&T, 71 on T-Mobile) missing. Also the US version seems to have been properly certified even in its unlocked version for AT&T which is rare in Android--meaning proper access to WiFi calling and VOLTE.

I ended up trying the Moto G7, but my experience was not a happy one the first one had issues when it was charging it got hot in weird ways and had a weird smell, had to get it replaced then the second unit seemed glitchy software not fully polished the screen is nice but the cameras are the same as a G6 no improvement there just didn't seem like a finished product able fortunately to get my money back. I really don't recommend the Moto G7 not much of an upgrade over the G6 try to find the older Moto X4 seems like a better phone.

I'm happy with the G7 power. It feels the same as the E5 plus except it has a notch. Video recording in 4 k is what I like best about the G7 power. The x4 is smaller but it feels great in my hands and takes great photos

Have had my moto g3 for about 6.5 years I think. The battery was always good but it's starting to degrade now, and don't think I can replace it (?) The g7 power looks like a good replacement, basically want something that will last as long as possible. The lack of water resistance seems kind of crappy when the 7 year old g3 had it!

There is nothing wrong with this phone. The Moto G7 is a reasonable priced phone that does what is should do. Good camera and a overall snappy responsive phone. The battery quality is better than expected. Easily juice for a day. Fast charging and a big bright screen. And almost clean Android. The headphone jack port is also a big plus. I recommend this phone. This phone is better build than all new Nokia phones. The new Nokia phones got nothing to do with the old Nokia brand. Lenovo/Motorola did a good job with the new Moto G7 line up.

@@citizerin I bought the G7. It was on prime day reduced from $220 to $180. I had to go for it. I'm glad I did, whilst the battery is probably nowhere near as good as the G7 power, it has USB-C which the Honor doesn't, and the screen is surprisingly good despite being 1080p - I find it hard to tell the difference between my G7 and my Note 4.

I know the g7 power has a much better battery, so if you want extremely good battery life, go with that, but otherwise unless money is an issue go with the g7. 720p on a 6.2" display (271ppi) really isnt acceptable for a modern phone IMO

People commenting about how the processor is weak or no one will buy, has obviously never used these phones. Moto makes really solid stuff at a good price.

The European version of the G7 does have NFC, and the G7 power has 4gb of ram and 64gb storage. Strange that the US versions are lacking in those areas.

Is there anyone that can tell me why my D7 phones and I now I have two of them because I bought one to replace the one that was not working. I have no water damage no drop damage no cracked screen none of that but my phone when I go to call out this whole screen entire screen turns black. I can't even turn off my phone it won't turn off the only way that will turn itself off is if the person I'm calling hangs up their phone and releases the call. Please please I hope there's somebody who can help me with this problem

@Ed Jackson wireless charging is worthless. I have it on my one Max. You still have to plug it into the wall. I use a power bank instead. I ordered the F1 play. I want to see what the camera is all about.

Motorola is excellent. I'm using my E5 plus as we speak. But you're not upgrading much from the e5 plus to the G7 power.

I chose the g7 because of the reliability and I wasn't going to give my money to company that people aren't too sure about. It also might not work for all u.s carriers.

@@JuanPablo-ww5cp I like small companies just like I rather get tacos from a street vendor than a big chain. I'm all about value. So far the Umidigi products I own have been fantastic. I gave the one max to my sister. Gave the a3 pro to my girlfriend because she said it looks like a iPhone x. And I'm rocking the F1 play. I love Motorola tho. I have the e5 plus that I gave to my mom. I cracked the screen on my Supra so I'm just using mint mobile right now, hoping that metro gets some better deals this Month. No store that I went to has the G7 power yet.

Have had the View 10. Lesser battery life, but also quite good. In every other way, the View 10 is better.
