Mods are completely worth :-) With the extra battery I have a real 2 days usage (and wireless charging!), with the projector I can get videos big for the family on trips, which is nice, and the sound booster is very good, plus its stand helps with using the phone when watching videos in the kitchen... No other device can do all of this

Francesco Varrato How come a projector mod worth $200 when i can get any stand alone projector for way less that is compatible with many Standards rather than being stuck with only Z series phone. I live in India for your reference. Mods cost a bomb.

@@purushrut I believe I understand your doubt. Of course it depends on the cost relative to the live cost, which is not a big deal here in Switzerland. That said, I paid it a little over $200 and have different uses. I would argue that the seemless connection to the smartphone, it's being very lightweight compared to the alternatives (I checked ^_^), it's embedded autotrim plus stand, makes for the price. Also, differently from the majority of standalone mini projectors, here you can always get a software improvement thanks to updated moto mod app. All-in-all, it's like a car or the internet: of course you can live without it, but you can make good use of it once it's there.

The mod is 80 bucks and even cheaper on eBay and you cant take your actual projector anywhere but the projector mod comes with me everywhere I go 😉but nice try. The are three different battery mods 3300 ,a turbo 10000 and 2200 battery mods so no phone I know of can beat that with the smaller extra battery pack made by Motorola I get 2 days with plenty of battery left over. And then there's style mods camera mods this phone Is brilliant . Oh and Amazon has a prime exclusive payment option with the z4 😁.

@@purushrut you have options but getting all of this in a slim product that's easy to use and plug and play system. I had my projector came with z2 force until I lost the phone... I'm using the z4 on a daily driver with smart speaker attached. I'm coming from Note 9 that's why the attached weight doesn't seem to be an issue. I wished the processor was a bit fast with a little more Rom. otherwise the phone's rocking.

@@purushrut The projector works with all Moto Z family phones. I myself only buy the Moto Z Play 1. It's found online for $150 or less. So making the phone & mods seem useless is very futile indeed.

Z4 seems to be the most achieved version of moto-mods compatible phones (3600 battery and mid-range CPU should lead to huge autonomy, comparable to the initial Z range). A precision to the video: Z2 (play version) had Jack 3.5 hole with FM radio. Z3 range did not have it. Thankfully, Z4 has both (Jack and FM).

I have this phone unlocked Camera is good in the dark (almost no noise) Speaker is loud Good battery However, go for Z3 Play if you just want modular support

Moto z force and z2 force fingerprint is at bottom front and z3 is right side...I'm glad that they haven't changed the mods fitment yet....I mean a 250.00 projection screen or 80.00 battery pack being able to simply attach to your z, z2, z3 and z4 is very nice...I'm sticking with my z2 force...I love the accident free screen... until Moto brings back the forces I ain't upgrading

I got the projector mod that was assume until I lost my moto z2 force and eventually went back to galaxy note 8 lost that galaxy 9 lost that galaxy note 9 screen damaged wasted 250 but that guy screwed the front camera that's stretched so now I was waiting for force 3 but screws Verizon and now look to get it unlock

I'm disappointed in you Motorola. You're not telling people that some mods are very difficult to get without getting scalped because you no longer make them. For example the 3499 Turbo battery pack. Qi charging mod. Why continue to make a phone and not have the mods available? Good luck.

It does not have shatterproof glass. The Droid Turbo, Turbo 2, Moto Z Force, and Moto Z2 Force had the shattershield. Since then they have not put out a phone with that.
