Just got the MotoFab upper control arms put on my 2018 Silverado today after riding on the stock stamped steel upper control arms for roughly 2,000 miles with a MotoFab 3 inch leveling kit. As soon as I left the parking lot of the shop and hit the road I could immediately tell a difference. The ride quality on the truck is so much better now with the motofab control arms than with the stock control arms. Everything looks and feels promising, but time will tell.

You got the new version as shown on the video or the "old version" ... I was told that the old version must likely rub with you wheels or so. I'm quiet not sure about this new ones. I gotta do my swap ASAP... I am now at 19k miles with 2.5 leveling kit.

Francisco Garcia Mine are like the ones in the video, no rubbing that I could tell, even at full lock and I’m running stock 18’s and 31’s

Just installed the the 3” front with 2” rear motofab lift kit with their upper control arms on my ‘19 LD Silverado with a diff drop from supreme suspensions and rear shock mount extenders and the angles are all good in the front, and the truck rides just as good as it did stock. Very happy with the lift so far.

My 17 Silverado is at 2" level kit. Want to upgrade to a 3 with a upper arm set. Might just order these sounds like a great deal.

The Purolator boss filter has a synthetic media that filters out smaller micron material.. Mobil 1 has a synthetic blend media that filters out a little larger microns but has good capacity. Either way, your only putting 5000 miles approximately on each oil change which is only about a third of the filter life. You could go with a mid grade filter and save a few $$. Those are usually a syn blend filter also.

Hit a washout spot on some hunting land with my 3 inch motofab and stock upper arms, definitely got that kachow mod. Been running the rough country upper arms ever since and they seem to be doing quite well

My 14 Silverado has had a leveling kit for 80k miles no issues so far , just a rough ride. Definetly need to get better UCA but so far they’ve been fine

My first oil change I did amsoil signature annual oil change and a year later I now have a baby and not as much money. I went with the same valvoline oil but used the mobile 1 filter you removed. I feel she runs just as smooth with valvoline as she did with the amsoil. One trick I use to keep track of my oil change intervals is the second trip odometer in the display in the gauge cluster.

No dry start by not filling oil filter. You actually put in oil through the valve covers which will lubricate everything on its way down to the pan. The pick-up tube draws from the lower sump of the pan. If you can start your truck within 5 or so min after finished filling up you'll be fine tbh.. but great review on the suspension bits brother Appreciate the effort and taking out the guess work on these parts.

I use NAPA Gold oil filters! I use it with Mobil 1 full synthetic oil. Yes, you can use the NAPA gold with full synthetic oil. I called Wix, which makes Napa oil filters, among other oil filters, a representative told me that it is safe to use the regular wix or Napa gold with full synthetic oil as long as you follow your vehicle oil change intervals

The Purolator Boss is a good oil filter bro. It’s made by champion labs which is WIX. I have cut several open along with the WIX and they are great filters. When I can’t get K&N or WIX I get the Purolator Boss. WAREAGLE

Stupid question. Do you get upper control arms for both front and back? Or one or the other? Or if you lift just front than just lift the front and same thing with the back? I bought the Moto fab front and rear leveling/lift kit (2.5”/3”) and I was wondering if I should order two sets, one for each wheel & ball joint or if I just need to order one set. Any help would be great. Don’t know much about trucks so I know this comment probably isn’t the greatest 😂

How’d those upper control arms hold up? I got the 2” level with the 1” block in rear for my 16 Silverado but am not sold on quality of the ball joints and bushings in the UCA’s…. Great video

With the bds leveling kit it has the block up top but also a piece that goes in the spring to ensure it runs at close to factory angles.... would I need upper control arms with that kit?

Do these uca’s help with alignment? I have the factory uca with the 3 in lift and I feel like the wheels are towed in a bit, I just wanna know if the uca will correct that as well

Sam Fascione no the lift is on top of the strut assembly, so basically the only thing your doing is dropping the strut lower. Hope that helped
