My buddy and I went down to Galveston Texas on our bikes (CX500Turbo, CB900F) from northern BC Canada back in the late 80's. We stopped for some directions in a 7/11 in Houston I think it was. When we told the all black staff in the store where we had been wandering around in, they all gasped and said: "Good lawd, even *we* won't go down there!" and warned us to take a different way to where we wanted to go, lol.

Encountered more visitors, transplants & definitely transients than actual locals! Unfortunately, progressive policies turned Austin into a "sanctuary city" for the homeless & migrants. Defunding the police leads to more ppl like rap man hanging around the scene of his crimes! 🤦‍♀️🙄

Just watched the highlights of the race on ITV 4. Good interview and plug for your riders and team. BT Sport ( which stands for BRITISH TELECOM ) little or no mention. No wonder Motorcycle Racing is virtually disappeared from British Media. Why can’t the people responsible for making these programs have some pride in the achievements of our home grown talent?

Crappy patch job! Nice track, but will need continuous repair. Used year round by auto clubs, other racing events. Poor drainage, improperly prepared road bed underneath. Always moving underneath, as it is built on top of "Sinkhole Alley" (from central, south TX, across southern US, most of FL!) Rodeo on! 🤠 🐎
