I bought a Moto Guzzi V7 in 2018. It was my first "big bike" and I thought it would be a stepping stone to something bigger. However, over the past 4 years, I've learned a lot about riding and motorcycles in general. The most important thing I've learned, I'm not getting rid of my Guzzi. Ever.

I bought my 76 MG T3 when I was 28 That was fall of '92. Running into financial troubles after divorce I sold it to my brother. He in turn sold it to my dad. Dad passed away last July and I got it back after 30 years. New Dodge Viper copperhead paint New Dodge Viper snake skin green paint. Viper print seat cover, new rings, cables tires, basically broke it all the way down and now going back together. Never again letting this machine go.

I love my Guzzi! I hope that Moto Guzzi is around for the another century as a progressive, yet historical motorcycle producer and business. Forza Moto Guzzi!! Forza Guzzista's!!! Bought my Guzzi ( '14 California) from Moto International, Dave was still there and his mechanic Micha was a stand up guy as well. I was truly saddened when I heard they closed down, it was an end to an era... Oh well, at least the brand is still here. The bike I bought I ended up driving all the way back home to New England via the "southern route" in the spring of 2016, Dave kept in touch with me the whole way across! He really seemed to care that I made it home safe 🦅

Have owned several German bikes to include BMW and Zundaps. Grew up with British bikes--meaning Triumph and BSA. Have never been interested in Harley. Owned several Suzuki's to include 2-stroke models and the Wankel rotary 750. The Moto Guzzis have been my favorite above all the rest. Quirky, reliable, tractor-like in that the Japanese "refinement" is not there--but if you love just being connected to machinery and sound--Moto Guzzi!--mike battle 1

I finally found a Guzzi to buy during the first year of Covid. It's a '98 California with low miles but not very well kept. When I first got it, it handled like a pig, wouldn't stop, the clutch slipped and it dripped oil on my left boot. Oh, and the previous owner had "repaired" the wiring. But that sound... Over the following year, going through each problem one at a time as well as eliminating all the extraneous chrome the bike is now transformed. The only things left to do are rear shocks and a final sorting of the forks. (The compression damping still isn't right) But again, even with these two issues what a transformation. The only further improvement I want to make is more power. It's a hoot to ride and people stop to look at it and often tell me their Guzzi stories.

I wanted one of these in the worst way. Finally bought a 2018 V7iii Milano 3 months ago with only 860 miles on it! I've had a few issues with it caused by it sitting too long unridden, I think. But yesterday, I fulfilled a lifelong dream & took possession of a 2016 V7ii Special with only 7500km on the clock & frankly, I am in love. It is such a sweet motorcycle, everything I miss about my BMW but with something extra that I can't quite put my finger on. It's light, comfortable, handles beautifully & has all the grunt I need for virtually any situation. And the Agostini "mufflers" make it sound like a cross between an angry dog & a horny banshee... Motorcycles have been a real family thing for the past generations. For some reason it stopped with my generation. I always liked motorized bicycles in any shape and form but never really had the motivation (discipline and money actually) to get my license. When I (finally) got my license I was so hung up on certain brands and looks that I completely ignored a lot of the iconic brands, many who co-shaped the history of motorcycling. I started reading much about older bikes, their history and how they influenced what we drive today. During that I really start to like and respect Guzzi more and more. I like the designs a lot, the engines are great, they sound awesome and for as far I can predict without ever haven driven one, the way they ride must be great. At the moment I really like the Griso a lot. Really enjoyed the video, thanks for sharing!
