I really get that how a nimble bike like this naked feels great in town. I've always riden supermotos myself since I was 18 cuz of being nimble and straight up position. My bike now is really light too so turns very well. These heavy/powerful nakeds aren't cheap but this V4 is the best 4stroke sound for me and unlike supermotos is still fit to drive highways etc too.

I had the RR 2020 model and I was in love with her. The euro5 model is better with the heat on your legs (wins are not only for the aerodynamic) and is still smother than mine. At the end I sell it to have a trail model (cheaper, more confortable but with less soul and character)🤷🏻♂️

Have you had any issues with reliability? 10K miles in 3 months is insane!
@johnbob953 жыл бұрын
@@matth8924 Zero issues with reliability. There was only one instance when I first initially bought the bike around 400 miles it had the ever slightest leak on one of the engine gaskets which once brought up to the dealer was taken care of immediately. It was just a simple gasket that didn’t seat properly. Other than that, literally nothing. And I honestly don’t see that as an issue given how quickly it was resolved.

@johnbob958 ай бұрын
@@falka6751 I honestly have zero complaints. Coming up on 37k miles and had the valves serviced every 10k. The bike has had zero mechanical issues since owning it and all maintenance has been done either early or on time. The ride is phenomenal and I’ve ridden it from Tampa FL to the tail of the dragon several times now along with other cross country trips. The power is absolutely raw and hasn’t dumbed down a bit. I have a the Gabro race tune, SC Project exhaust, Gabro velocity stacks and Woodcraft GP shift link.

If your looking to buy the Aprilia Tuono V4 Factory, do it. It’s literally a no brainer. I just picked up the 21 and it is the smoothest, funnest bike I’ve ever ridden. You can pull power wheelies at 80-100. Winds a little much at 130. I put a Puig windscreen on it and that helps a bit. (Previous street bikes, GSXR 600, MT07, KTM 690). I was bored of the smaller bikes and didn’t ride much. I thought that I would regret selling my GSXR 6 because I like the canyons out here in Napa. But the Tuono carves just as well as the GSXR. That torque is to die for. The only con is it cost. But you get what you pay for.

It's that low down torque. That gives you access to the power at lower speeds. It's probably why you find it fun to ride around the city. That bike is no toy. It's an absolute weapon. It will put a smile on your face, but without respect it will kill you. Great engine. Smooth as silk and that V4 howl. Because of the riding position its easy to be fooled into a false sense of security. Don't though, you're on a sportsbike really. If I had the money and I had to choose one bike to do everything it's going to be the Tuono. A few tweeks and they can do everything with ease.

What about when you replace the exhaust/can and so get rid of the catalyst? Probably with a little ecu tune too but then I guess it will be more powerful too. But I can't imagine this V4 lacks power lol.. It's true that Ducati V4r or Kawa ZH2 are even more powerful or lighter but who needs that really, and with a naked bike it will pull up quickly anyway.
@joshlewis50653 жыл бұрын
I mean, you got a R1 and a BMW S1K. You don't necessarily need another supersport because you already havebas good as it gets outside of a Ducati V4. That's where I think this bike could settle in, you can get the V4 experience but in a naked bike.

CAN SOMEBODY PLEASE ANSWER MY QUESTION. So I have a yamaha 2020 r6 and I just bought a vodoo full system exhaust. I have some people tell me I have to do a custom tune, ecu/ remap and airfilters all this crap. And then the company that sold me the exhaust told me I can install it and be okay because its fuel injected so the fuel will balance out once I put the exhaust etc. I don’t care about the performance As long as it runs like before. I just care about the sound. Now What should I do? Do I have to tune and do all this crap to the bike. Or can I just plug the new exhaust and go. Thank you in advance

I enjoy naked bikes..and naked 1000's. my thing is - the transmissions are geared to low top speed. I always say the better bike is to just get a super bike and convert it into a super fighter. you get the power and higher geared transmission which is a better combo imo. ability to switch from a super bike to a naked and then back to a super bike. with a super naked or "hyper naked" that's all you get. sure you can try to convert it into a super bike, but the transmission gearing is limited.
@kw12132 жыл бұрын
You're talking about the difference between a 300 kph top speed and a 275 kph top speed. Who cares ? How often are you hitting 300 kph ?
@adobomoto2 жыл бұрын
@@kw1213 on the mt10 that we were trying to top out, I think we got a 160mph top speed compared to a 185mph top speed on the r1. That's a nice difference in rpms. 160mph on the straights at the track is pretty common for us. so being to hit that in 5th rather than 6th is a huge difference...you're only comparing a top speed, but you fail to think about the other factors that get affected like how often you're going to have to go from 5th to 6th vs a taller geared bike with the same power.

I agree with you 100%, I have a GSXR Hayabusa the problem with that bike is you really can't go anywhere with it the way it's geared I wish it was geared lower naked bikes are much better when they're geared lower you can take advantage of the horsepower on the street you can't take advantage of all the horsepower. I dont see how a few light plastic fairings could make a bike that much "worse" than a naked. Yeah im biased because i like faired bikes, but still. I think its 90% in the perception, because you get the full wind on your body and see the ground through the dashboard, thats why it "feels" faster and more nimble, but in reality its not more than a few pounds of weight difference. Same engine same suspension same everything as a faired bike in the same class, minus plastic.
@kw12132 жыл бұрын
Has nothing to do with weight, it's all about the handle bar and body position that makes it more nimble at lower speeds as well as the gearing which gives it more low end power.
