Recently purchased the single carb tuning kit and shorty choke knob for my 2004 600. For some reason with the shorty choke installed and tightened properly. It did not like it one bit. Sputtering and wouldn’t come to a proper idle until I would put some pressure down on top of the choke. Re installed the stock one and idled fine after… has anyone else had that same issue?

i have a shadow 600 from 1995 open exaust and open carb when i open the trottle it wont pull anymore got bigger jets installeds started from 125 to 150 cant find the problem

you cannot run these bikes with an open carb, you can either run the stock intake, or slap one of our stacks on there.

Thank you so much for these videos! I have a 2001 VLX vt600 that won't run without the choke pulled out half way. I know that you mentioned a e-Book about tuning but it would seem an obvious part 3 for this video to show the actual process of tuning... some common problems and solutions, etc...

Hey Right on video! I'm rebuilding my carbs on my 1984 VT750C again as BOTH my diaphrams are off the sliders? Regardless I have a 2 new ones that come with the rubbers already installed thankfully however I do really like your ideas here with velocity stacks etc! Just quickly browsing your site I think I notice you don't have anything for the older Shadows (1980s) but the video itself was SUPER informative on cleaning!

@TJBRUTALCUSTOMS BTW the carb cleaning and repair I did was 100 percent successful... bike zips along like new again! YaY... only thing is the rear cylinder needed to turn out 4 and a bit turns to be happy than the OEM 2.75 turns...I put 38 - 120's in and took out 42 - 124's....hmmmm

Bro, amazo! I bobbed my shadow in 2012 using Blue Collar Bobber parts. I've had my bike 19yrs since 2001, Shadow 600VLX. Unfortunately, They stole my bike in Miami in 2020 during FUCK YOU Covid. Just last week I get a call saying they found my beloved baby! I drove 500miles to and from and she sits in my Condo unbeknownst to my mgmt office. Your videos are short of proposal on my knees! My 2001 Honda shadow 750 ace has velocity stacks on it with the 145 main and 45 pilot in the carb it flatlines at anything past quarter throttle. I’ve cleaned the carbs and tried adjusting my mixture screws and nothing makes a difference. Any suggestions?

As for how you guys asked about what kind of videos I would like to suggest a video of changing out the fork seals and oil on a 07 VT600 I have not been able to find a proper video anywhere online or even how much oil to put in the fork after reassembling it. (Should be a quick video but its something I've never done before and would love to see a proper step by step process for it) Love your guy's humor and the in depthness of your videos! Top quality! (ALSO DEFF WANT A BLACK SLIDE COVER FOR MY CARB)

Bought a vt500 and can not find carb needles anywhere. Bought new slides and Gasket. Old needles feel rough. This is my first bike and rebuild. Would like to buy a reman gas tank, but no one that I can find makes one that old. Was gonna do the whole vinegar, vapo rust, denatured alcohol then line it, but feel this may be a lot for a nube. Also, I plan on painting the whole thing, which I have never done. Any advice is welcome ole wise one.
