Motorcycle Powered MG gets some Major changes!

This would blow minds in our MG Club.. Personally I love it. I would absolutely do this to my 58 Bug Eye Sprite. I need exhaust out the rear but I'd 100% do this if I had the knowledge... Bet that would be fun at autocross.

There are electric shift kits for motorcycles that use a solenoid for full throttle upshifts by cutting the ignition. Or, if you're not doing it already, you can try preloading the hand shifter with your foot on the gas then when you lift the throttle a little bit you'll get a clutchless upshift. I used to do this all the time when I rode bikes. I'd just put a little pressure on the lever with my foot and when it was time to go to second, I just briefly back off the throttle and it passes right over neutral to second.

I like what you've done with the gear lever, much more positive and under the bonnet the engine bay looks far better. Maybe as it evolves some kind of exhaust will give you more power, for now what the hell make some noise she's your baby 😎👍

I love the engine swap, but I think those short zoomies are an abomination. You don’t see them on bikes at the track or the drag strip. It needs a quieter, well-tuned and executed exhaust system with a proper collector and a more musical exhaust note.

With that power in a convertible you're really going to want to consider building a roll cage

If you really want to mess with people’s brains while having more power, look into the Villiers V10. It’s not much bigger than a four cylinder, it can easily be mistaken for one, but it’s a V10. You can use the Mazda mx5 transmission.

You should never lose power with a turbo. You CANNOT turbo an engine that doesn’t have the ability to compensate the fueling for boost. Stock your engine is setup to only read vacuum.
