Thank you, that was great. I’ve ridden along most of those roads, always good to hear about things I’ve missed!

Hey.Old, have missed your "rambles" a bit -been with a busy schedule. It is wonderful to see your roads &lanes in England, "quaint" doesn't seem to fit their description sometimes. Beautiful to see them along with the memories you have of those places. Doug👍🧸🤓😇🏍️❤️

Rog, I love these videos. Without any specific insight into your current recovery, I somewhat selfishly offer for your consideration that maybe you could ride about as passenger in an open Jeep (without a roof, and with windscreen laid down) and continue (temporarily until you're back on a motorcycle) to video and narrate along the same lines as your motorbike ride outs. Selfishly, I say, because I particularly like your work and I know that you've worked hard to get your channel to where it is, and I look forward to more. Good stuff, Rog. I wish you all the best. Tim

So glad you're enjoying these Tim, they do take a fair bit of work but I enjoy doing them. Thanks for the suggestion, I actually had a WW2 Jeep but sold it a couple of years ago. I don't think the wifes current Toyota estate would have the same cinematic appeal and she is a busy lady so driving me round the countryside for filming probably wouldn't go down well.😂😂😂 I am working on a couple more videos though, so watch out for notifications. Thanks for your support. Cheers Rog

I love to see these old English roads . It nice to get away from the main roads and relax. I live in Ireland Galway . The roads around the coast are simply outstanding . Over the past two years i have done very little of getting out on the bike. Now after watching you is given me the urge to get out and enjoy the peace and quite. Thanks mate ride safe and enjoy. 👍👍👍👍

Much of the UK is well worth making the effort to get out and see. Unfortunately we often overlook what's on our own doorstep, I certainly did before I started doing these motorcycle rambles. I'm glad you're enjoying the videos and it's giving you the incentive to get out yourself, ride safe. Cheers.

What a depressing place RAF Snaith must have been to be stationed at and the amount of flyers that didn't return is astonishing.
@old-n-Goldie9 ай бұрын
Yes, I was surprised at the high number of casualties there. I'm going back later in the year as they're having a 19040s weekend and the museum will be open, should be interesting. Cheers.

Another good ride around the lanes, with some interesting info I wasn’t aware of. Often when riding through Wormesley, I meet the bus coming in the opposite direction at the tight corner.

Is all that water Nature's way of preparing us for a long hot and dry Summer? If so, i'll take the dry, but not so much the hot..., 23° to 25" is max. for me. If I'd not seen it all on this vid, and had to just take your word for it, i'd probably have difficulty grasping the sheer outcome of all that "wet stuff", incredible. I've seen a lot down in Sussex where my brother lives, but that's nothin' compared to this. Have you ever seen so much before?! I love the style of building with that typical Yorkshire stone in this area, and following your videos out 'n about around here, sure does give me itchy feet to ride that area as well. I know virtually nothing of the Ridings. Thanks again for taking us along, twas as always, very Interesting, Educating and Entertaining.
@old-n-Goldie9 ай бұрын
Yes, I'm sure it is. I can't remember it being this wet for so long and before we know it we'll have drought and extremely high temperatures. Unfortunately that's becoming the norm. Many parts of our country have their own style of beauty and Yorkshires no exception, get here for a ride if you can. Thanks for watching, glad you're still finding my rambles interesting. Cheers.

Nice ride and ramble! These places around York are steeped in history, with many famous battles having taken place here during the Wars of Roses.

I've just finished The Anglo Saxons by Marc Morris. His depiction of the raids and battles fought over this land, under Northumbria, between the Saxons and Vikings is vivid. Life for the normal peasant families trying to eke a living must have been hard and stressful. The book is highly recommended by the way.
