Motorcycle Trip to Maine | Four Corners Park and the Solar System

For July 2023, I decided to jump on my Triumph Tiger 1200 motorcycle, and head up into Maine and visit the Four Corners Park in the Northern most town in the contiguous United States, Madawaska. Along the the way I would also ride through the second largest scale model of our Solar System--The Main Solar System Map.

What a fun trip. The solar system was cool. Its funny none of the students know where the sun was. The 4 courners would someothing I'd love to do, just can get away from work and family that long.. Great video.

Detours make memories!!! Long story .stayed in presque isle motels no five stars in northern Maine .my cousin went out to take a smoke i thought he got lost When he came back in all smiles I asked why you so happy guy in front of motel said you look like you smoke pot its legal in Maine my cousin old 70s pot smoker was in heaven they smoked right in front of the motel only in America lol Madawaska drove through there . Did you know there is old air force base (loring ) in northern Maine they had a ufo sighting back in the day . Man your living the motorcycle riders dream 👍👊

we do a yearly ride to Fort Kent Me from Gloucester Ma we ride to Fort Kent on day 1 456 miles thn route 1 all the way home always stop at 4 corners!

I am just back from Oklahoma - Nova Scotia - Oklahoma, 4700 miles. I did not know about the planets, but enjoyed them. I stopped at Madawasca to get the northeasternmost point. P.S. At one point you said Madawasca was the “northernmost” point. I know this was just a slip of the tongue. The northernmost spot in the contiguous 48 is either in Minnesota or Washington, depending on your exact meaning.

After two tours of and through Maine, it seems that dumpy motels are the norm. The worst hotel we have ever stayed at was in central Maine and we were lucky to find a hotel there at all. The hotels in Bar Harbor were mostly decent, but crazy expensive. I have to admit, that of all the states we have ridden in, and that is every state except Hawaii now, Maine is probably my least favorite place to ride. Although, Texas isn’t high on my list either.

You know... not to be morbid or anything but if you waited until you're dead you could take a trip around the Solar System for free with no roach motels, likely all the free coffee you could drink and definitely Pluto and the Sun on full display. In other news, after 10years and 77k miles I sold the Victory... I've only been riding trails since but am actively looking for a replacement. The touring season is ticking away and I have a ride planned for mid August but no bike.. 😐

@@LivingOffTheSlab Which Klim Jacket(s) do you have? I have 2 Klim Badlands. The current model which is a year old and the previous version that is 6 or 7 years old. If I remember to zip all the ventelation wholes up, I have not had either one leak. I have the previous version of the Klim Badland pants that have worked well, however I wish they were designed so that I would not need to take my boots off to put them off and on. THANK YOU! Jim

@@jameskoshar8573 Hey Jim. I have two Latitude jackets. One is a 2014 and the other a 2017 or 18. Both have worked very well for me under most conditions, but when things get extreme, I have gotten little failures at the zippers and cuffs (no gortex). I do a review of my gear in the next video. Some did not hold up so well
