I have one RS660, and have done 4 track days so far. Ifound that all eletronic controls changes were quite noticeable at the tracks, specially traction control.There was a 2 sec lap time difference at Estoril, from modes commute to race engine cut at lean and throttle does not responded as fast, also ABS intrudes a lot. At the streets I found only the throttle response to be clearly noticeable when changing engine maps. So, in my opinion those different set-ups serve the purpose.

Late to the party I know! Went to inspect and to sit on of these yesterday, the US edition and here are my thoughts. From only looking and sitting on it (will do a test drive soon). It looks really cheap in some ways. Like a toy. That one they had as a used had only been driven 2730km, meaning barely anything and it already had rust in some places... Even behind the front brake disc on the internal components. Might not be me used to sports bikes but you really sat very aggressive on it even though everyone says comfy for a sports bike. Pegs are too high up as well it feels even though I am 176cm tall, which is not a lot tbh. Paint looks nice, but thin and the stickers are a bit hmm so and so. A bit of a shame it looks and feels rather toyish irl. But that engine howl sounds amazing on videos at least! For reference my current bike is a Trident 660 and it really feels like a very well built kit. Quality wise feels like a much more expensive bike even though there are cheap plastics on it as well here and there. Seat also not the best. I sat on the new Street Triple RS as well. My oh my! If the Aprilia feels like it´s built a bit like a Dacia as a comparison (which is unfair I know). The RS looks to be built as a Bentley or something. Paint so thick and deep, the leather on the seat and the components, even the stand is very solid and looks more expensive than needed. Also felt amazing to sit on, very sporty but much more comfy obviously than aprilia which it is since naked. I will try them both incl the Tuono to see how they feel riding.

Expensive for a cheaply finished bike. None of my HDs dropped oil. My 2019 gsxs , faultless, better finished and engineered imho.

Bridgestone are horrible on anything other than hot days.

No! Bikes with recals are not ok! It s a problem that should be addressed, why so normal a recall! More so if it s a conrod! Not acceptable mate

Why people buy brands that are pure trash in terms of build quality is beyond me, especially when you have Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki and Yamaha.

Was keen to get one of these. First off I couldn’t get a test ride. Then started seeing reports of faults. On the owners site always seems to be somebody posting about a fault. Now MCN just passing by apparent oil leak and none of the other magazines saying much either. Not confidence inspiring is it😕

Budget bike clad with electric gizmos with a premium price tag, no thanx, better buy an old d675 for half the price.

Conclusion: Get a CBR650R.

If you're poor and can't afford a RS 660 that's a good conclusion.

@@22Epic 2 grand is peanuts. Its about having brains. Want Italian mid-range sports exotica? Get a Ducati Supersport or Panigale V2.
@22Epic2 жыл бұрын
@@beingsolo80 You're missing "having a brain" part :D Also the Supersport is a nice GT like the CBR 650R and the Panigale V2 is a real supersport unusable as a daily bike. If you had a brain you will see that the RS 660 fill the gap between those 2 (and that's why it's so successful)
@beingsolo802 жыл бұрын
@@22Epic The Supersport has 110 hp. Its a much better street bike than the 660, more reliable and much better resale value. I suggested the V2 but you're probably too broke for it. Get the 660 and enjoy the recalls. Cheers.

@@beingsolo80 I'm sorry mate you can't afford a RS 660 :( I understand that you're mad, but you may be afford one, not new but used, if you work hard enough. Keep up mate !

I need help for the MCN community. I'm buying a new bike this weekend and I need to now if I should go with a zx6r or rs660. Any thoughts?
