yeah of course dude just joking, sometimes you just wanna go fast though and its kind of frustrating having to let go off the throttle..cuz it flips if you dont, consider you also have a quickshifter and there is no time for the bike to lower its nose

I just bought the FZ10 and I've owner several R1's, ,1000RR, Ducati superbikes etc and I can truley say the FZ10 (mt10) is the most insane and rediculous bike I've ever had the privledge to ride ! The power may be less than the R1 but the same crossplanecrank motor retuned for street and a broad torque from stop makes it a much more fun and brutal street superfighter! Even in standard mode and TC3 it's SO impressive! Put it in B-mode and TC1 and it's much more bike than I think anyone can handle unless you race professionally. It'll take superbikes out from the hole, passing anything is effortless, and it's absolutely the most flickable and easy to maneuver bike I could ever imagine. My first supernaked and my R1 I jsut sold will be my last superbike, the times the supernakeds are clocking at tracks are better than a lot of superbikes and u can ride there and home with cruise control, upright seating position that's extremely comfortable and enjoy a ride across the country! Any of these supernakes I'd take but as insanely cheap as the fz10 was it was no decision for me. A local Yamaha dealer had several and dumped it for several thousand $ under msrp. Look nationally they are selling for nearly half a new R1!!!???? Do yourself a favor and get one! 😍

Great comparo! Thanks guys! Gotta say when price is considered, MT 10 really shines. Non SP versions here in Canada are going for near $13,000 CDN (2017 end of model year sale prices), and are absolute bargains. So cool that at that price is in the same league as these other fine Super Nakeds that cost so much more.

Picked up my first hornet this year and love it to death, it's the best of all sides of motorcycling. It would be awesome to see somebody do a true comparison between a newer sports naked and the older ones like the Hornet, bandit, B-King, and the monsters too. I just wanna see how much more that extra $10,000 gets you.

I was considering the Tuono and S100R before but for reliability and big bang for a buck, aside from getting a big discount from the dealership, I went to the MT 10 and its sitting on my garage for almost a year now, not comparable to the others in terms of breaks and TFT displays but I'm glad I did, I'm loving every second it it riding. It has more than enough power for my riding skills.

I LOvE the Tuono but with no aprilia dealer in my state (utah USA) and the FZ10 being so much cheaper (dealer selling them in California new with full warranty and a Yamaha reliable crossplanecrank crank , there was NO decision to be made! I saved nearly $7,000 over the new Tuono. As much as I love the Tuono, the sound of the CpC has that same note and reliability with the same dodads for a lot less $ you can take that $7,000 and retune , put a full system if desired (in changing to the Austin Racing full system ) and still leave $5,500 for speeding tickets! 😉 I wish they had tested with control tires , there's no doubt as much as they bragged about how amazing the grip and tired were on the Tuono and how bad they were in the fz10 it played a part in positive in their decision. If you threw the worst tire on one bike and he beat on another you will lean the way of the bike with the best becasue you can't fully enjoy the bike with the crappy tire. Just a thought. Not knocking the Tuono, if I had had an aprilia dealer here and the prices were not so far apart I'd of bought the aprilia. If I was a millionaire if buy the aprilia but I'm not so value and reliability have to play a part for me. All of them are unreal and I'd take ANY one of them tonrow! But feel lucky to have the new FZ10 in my possession! Truly the most amazing bike I've ever rode , I'll never buy another superbike , I enjoy this FZ10 so much more than I did my last new R1.

I owned a Super Duke GT. Just recently bought a low mileage modified MT10. U.S., so no SP version available. The way it is set up I’m guessing it is a “poor man’s” Tuono, never ridden one. I was considering a used Tuono, found a couple of good deals. Though they were still several grand more than the MT10 I bought. But couldn’t get past the nearest dealer being 3 hours away. Mine has: -Cat removed and ECU flash, which probably gets the HP close to a stock Tuono. (No db killer in the stock can and it sounds amazing) -Lowered handle bar clamps and R1 rear sets, which probably makes the riding position similar to the Tuono. -R1 rear shock. -Suspension was set up for track focus. -R1 front and rear master cylinders. -Other nice mods - CRG bar end mirrors, aftermarket levers and grips, frame and axle sliders, engine guards, integrated tail lamp, fender eliminator. Granted with the mods it is probably 50-60 lbs lighter than the stock SDGT. But hands down handles better. Can take corners at higher speeds easier, while the bike is more stable and confidence inspiring. Seat of the pants, below 5k rpms the MT10 pulls harder, 5k-8k the SDGT does but not by much, over 8k to redline they feel evenly matched.

Compliments on a fine review and very balanced assessment. My personal choice was the Aprilia 1100 RR and I have no regrets given that the only major difference between it and the Factory is Sachs instead of Ohlins, and I do not have the talent to feel the difference. I did have a Factory for four days, and it was a joy, but the price difference was substantial and for my skill level I have lost nothing.

Great review, but... Can we really call the Tuono a Super "Naked"? It's at best a semi-naked, which is just as exciting (right ladies?), but it's got much more of a fairing than the others. Interesting though that it wasn't labelled with having the best wind protection, so what do I know?!? Still, looks more like a superbike than a true naked bike.

YarekBalear tuono is a new Class of Supernakeds this is the Reason because you can only compare to the s1000r.Classic nakeds are like a Ducati Monster,Kawasaki z1000,KTM but not realy its more a savage Supermoto,The Tuono is a New Class wich no existing before Aprilia came with this than BMW makes allmos the same like Aprilia.Aprilia it was the First Factory wich makes Naked from the Superbikes and this from 2002 this Guys now how to build Supernakeds😎

@motorcyclenewsdotcom7 жыл бұрын
Hi Fabio. A quick shifter is used for fast clutchless gear changes up through the box, 1-2-3 etc... An auto-blipper/blipper is essentially a quick shifter in reverse, allowing fast changes back down the box, 6-5-4 etc without the use of a clutch, blipping the throttle with each gear change.

Great quality video, for sure! Was the Monster 1200R on the list of bikes to try to compare? It is down on hp compared to these bikes but certainly is designed for the style riding you all were doing. Just wondering. Thanks!

Great bikes, all of them, but the most gorgeous vehicle shown in that video was the car at 1:25 - 1:29

I've had two KTM SDR 1290 one Tuono 1100 V4RR and now a BMW S1000R . And i like riding my Street Triple R 2013 the most. Crazy enough i know. Keep it simple keep it light weight.

This is why I choose to stick with Aprilia. My dealership doesn't even sell Aprilias, but I've been riding them for so long, this is where I want to be, on a well refined machine.

2017 z1000 beats all of these on looks alone imo. Might not have the tech these bikes have but I love the look

The current gen Tuonos are the best bikes period ..in any class. In 30 years of road and track riding I've not ridden any better

The thing about the price..... they said every bike had extra stuff that made the more expensive. but the tuono didnt, it comes stock with all that I configured each bike with the options in the video in their websites and got these prices: Tuono 18499€ s1000r 19076€ SDuke 17999 Yamaha 19192€ Bmw and yamaha most expensive, aprilia in the middle, Ktm cheapest. Tuono was said to be the most expensive but actually its in the middle of the ktm and the bmw cause you dont need to add money for extras, yamaha was slightly cheaper that tuono but akra can its 900€ Yamaha pricing in my country its not great so maybe mt-10 will be cheapest in many countries

My fully loaded S1000R (including the forged wheels) was 15.9K USD. Prices are all over the map.

Can anyone tell me what the backpack seen being worn at 9:33 on the S1000R is? Looks the dogs.

Although it’s a VTwin cylinders engine but extra 300cc and torque give it huge advantage over the 1000cc 4s

@neevesybikes why do you think the Triumph Speed Triple was not included in this test?
