The DRZ4S is the pick for me. If the price is right it will be the first bike I plan to buy new. They're keeping the 5 speed but no word on if the ratios have changed. I plan on using it as an all rounder but mostly exploring off-road so 5 speed doesn't bother me. If it's too expensive (north of $14k AUD ride away) then I'll just get a DRZ400E which are everywhere here in Australia.

Yeah I have a DRZsm and never understood why everyone cries about a 6 speed and EFI, it's a flippin little 400 nugget! EFI is always nice but if you open her up a properly jetted carb won't let you down. But as you say, 14K forget it. Buy 2nd hand and you can spend the change on anything from riding gear to mods and still have change left over.

Ole'mate makes a point about the old honda cb1000r handling. I test rode one in around 2009 and loved it. About half way through the ride we took an off ramp I'm not familiar with, had to tip in a little more than initially expected and it suddenly felt like it just wanted to fall in giving my stomach butterflies. I actually liked that though. Felt like it was on rails. I recall at the time the marketing mentioned a short wheelbase and something about "mass centralization" which is what I assumed I had just experienced.

Great to see Greg back on the channel and great banta! As a biker with a slight "hoon" layer myself, all the bikes you chose to talk about are definitely to my taste. This might be a quirky comparison suggestion, but I wonder pitching the Triumph Speed Twin RS against the 2025 Ducati Street fighter V2 S - similar price points, big twins, similar power and intent 🤔I wouldn't say I deserve the Aoocci, maybe I do actually for just managing to spell it correctly! I think I make the best comments. so I like to check on auto trader the price of bikes as you go along. They do the old 660rr with the new ones! and there is this 2011 import with only 1550 miles and a fantastic colour. the sort of bike that will make you loose the 2 stone you've put on riding the GT! I deserve the Aoocci because I don't get lost enough and the thought of getting even more lost in the middle of nowhere, or of fuel with no cell reception and a power failure is my definition of success and fun. Of course, I'll have zero supplies food or "coffee" available and will probably die a slow and painful death in a KTM with failed cam system. 100% Superduke GT for me! Have the 1290 GT Gen 2 and have riden the 1390 Superduke evo and the combination will be epic! Proper Swiss army knife for the roads. Still don't get why anyone would buy an adventure bike for the roads with bikes like this on the market. As for the middle weight naked; the Honda is epic as it undercuts competition for a bike which is touching super naked power wise. Well done Honda!

The new V2 engine replaces both the short stroke Superquadro in the Panigale V2 and Streetfighter V2 and the testastretta 11° in the Multistrada and presumably this will also go in the Desert X and Monster. Essentially the new Panigale V2 is an updated Supersport and replaces both models

I think I deserve the Apple CarPlay Aooice device for the following reasons: 1. I fed up of my misses telling me off for buying motorbike stuff. Saying I’m wasting money on stuff that will only sit in a drawer. 2. I’m also a danger to myself and, more importantly to your nearest and dearest as I’m constantly getting lost with audio prompts from my phone that’s paired to my SENA. I’ve had my phone mounted to my bike in the past but struggle with charging or concerns over vibration damaging the phone I now keep it in my pocket. 3. I got 4 Christmas cards and no presents for Christmas, not even socks this year, yet I spent all Christmas doing work on renovating the kitchen.

Great summary fellas. Interesting with the Ducati V2 engine changes. Wonder why they didn't use the 937 V-twin from the Monster 937? It puts out similar power (and is a Testastretta). Maybe the weight was an issue. In terms of KTM, I think the pricing is the problem. Rightly or wrongly, they have poor reputation for reliability, so asking a premium is not the way to go. I see Triumph heading the same way - their prices are also creeping up, and with more and more Chinese brands coming through that undercut some of these brands by HUGE margins, I think the traditional brands need to watch their backs. Let's not forget a lot of the big brands use the same Chinese factories. Honda seem to have got the memo with the pricing of the very cool looking Hornet & SP. And what a bike that is! I'd love to win the Aoocci - as the biking legend, Kylie Minogue, once sang "I should win Aoocci, Occi, Occi Occi - I should win Aoocci, bruv...." 😂

RE the new Duc V2, worth remembering that the Superquadro would have lost power if it was pushed through to Euro 5+. New one makes 70% of torque at 3K, and hopefully runs well at low revs too. Can’t wait!

Great video chaps. However the new Kawi Z900 se is £11,349 not £13,300 which you said it cost. The base model is £9199 for the black one [the new Hornet base model is £8,999] so they are very close. The Kawi has a lot more tech with a 6 axis IMU and more electronic wizardry. However you cannot deny the amazing value of the Hornet SP for 10 grand. That will hit the likes of Yamaha [MT09], Triumph [765 models], KTM [990] and Kawasaki hard. As a fellow Tuono owner [welcome to the club Greg] the new 2025 model gets the slightly bigger engine of the RSV4. However, omitting the belly pan is big no,no and stinks of cost cutting. Anyway, have a great new year chaps and I look forward to that Hornet SP v Z900 se comparison you mentioned.

Props to Honda on that new Hornet, but every KZbinr is saying its the best thing ever because it has 150 hp. But for most of us, 150 hp is a waste and a 100-125 hp bike like that Kawasaki or something like an MT09 would be lighter weight and more fun to ride. I traded my MT10 because it was just too much bike, and kinda boring on my roads. The MT10 specs are similar to the Hornet.
