You are so right regarding the hierarchy of needs. Six years ago I had a quadruple heart bypass, up to that point I accumulated so much stuff that I thought was important. The reality is that all you need are the basics in life, shelter, food, health etc.. Many people spend their lives struggling to buy the latest phone, the best car, bigger house etc… and the reality is that it will not bring you happiness. Also the stress you put yourself under trying to pay for all this just isn’t worth it. Some of the happiest people I’ve ever met have very little. There are no pockets in shrouds, as they say. Thanks again Alan for another entertaining gem. 😊👍🏻

Hello Andrew, I'm pleased that you are obviously feeling better after having to go through that, but it's definitely true. There's nothing wrong with money and possessions but not the expense of your life and giving you stress and taking your time is hitting the balance is it not. I think you're right. People jump on their hamster wheel too much and get too little in return when you watch these documentaries of people living in remote jungles because they have relationships they feel happy they not dragged away by society. If I was a multi-millionaire, I certainly wouldn't buy lots of property and objects that need looking after you're right, relationships, friendships and basic needs are all we really need. Thank you for your excellent comment. Always great to see you. Alan

It was SO sweet. That’s how invested Keith had us. Keith you were a genius & a fabulous talent. Thank you to Alan for this lovely film. We all love ❤️ you too my friend.

Hello Benny what a fantastic little story. I presume they must have either wire and to see the bird flying would have been but I had to laugh when the audience started crying it was such a good ventriloquist that used out to believe which is great or a lovely memory. I much love to you. I thank you very much 💗

Hello Joy, I think from what people have said when they've met him personally, it was a very decent guy to meet. Possibly when he was younger. I just couldn't get over the fact they wanted to see The puppet small, but he definitely seemed to have a very sensitive soul from what I saw in the documentary. Thank you ever so much. I met him once I was waiting for my lift to work and Keith came along the main road, he waved and pulled up, he asked me if I was okay and shook my hand, we had a great chat and he was such a lovely guy, if I hadn’t have been going to work I would have offered him a coffee, after our chat I felt like I had been speaking to somebody who I had known for years, I never bothered him about asking for an autograph or about Orville or Cuddles, it was just an ordinary chat between two people passing time, I rarely meet anybody like that, I was quite upset when he passed away, he had so much talent, R.I.P Keith, it was a pleasure to have met you.

Hello Rocker what a fantastic and interesting comment. He did sound a very nice approachable man. You obviously enjoyed his company and it was nice that he wanted to make the band. The adult version of that I've never seen either. It doesn't appear to be online. I'd like to have seen how he did it with the dummies. I bet it could be very funny 🤣 anyway, I'm very pleased it brought back those great memories. You should have got a photograph. See you soon my friend. Alan

@@rocka-cb7kk Hi Rocker what a fantastic story it's always great to get a real connection to some of these famous people and I'm also a big fan of Slade i even like the ballads like Everyday. That was very interesting about the drummer I didn't know that I remembered the accident but didn't know the details if I'm correct I think he forgot all the songs and had to relearn them and listen again just before the act I see he couldn't remember the affected him badly I believe. I always think that people who were singers are in bands the absolute best time it's such an emotional thing and then he can have a drink afterwards. I've got Noddys autobiography I read about half a bit it's good I don't know if you ever seen it.

But in 1989 I was trying to buy the house on the Royal Crescent in which Brown Stoker spent some of the time writing the book Dracula along with the Royal Hotel were he went and I was gazumped which means a guy from Australia placed a higher bid during the conveyancer and I never got the property. The puppet was made in Coventry, when Keith died, Orville was given to his friend Steve Hewlett, after it was stated Orville had been retired and would never appear in public again. Orville was donated to the Grand Order Of Water Rats Museum. The puppet Orville was created in Coventry by a lady named June Pullon, who was also responsible for the creations of Sooty, Mr Blobby & Honey Monster.

Hello Raymond, well that's fantastic. I wished I'd known all that when I was making the film. She obviously was a very talented woman who created all those. The only thing I can add that I know of interest is Harry H Corbett used to visit an old lady in the flat below my grandma's in the 1960s and my dad said that he at a workshop in Gaisley but I don't know if that's true. Goodness I had forgotten about him! What was with all the puppeteers in the 70s and 80s? Emu, basil brush, lambchop, nookie bear, spit the dog, and I have no doubt forgotten more! I wasnt a fan tbh, being a teenager at that stage found it very annoying, but sorry that he passed away early. Great vid Alan, haven't posted for a while but been watching in the background ❤

They annoyed me too. Did these puppets? I think I was probably thinking the same as you but the kids like them. Have a great day and don't hang the background too much. Come forward and shout... And i can still remember Keith Harris when he saw me, shout out look its the 'Milky Bar Kid'! He obviously thought i bore a resemblance to him lol. I think it was Bobby Davro who told the story of when Keith was very ill........they had a video chat on the computer. Bobby said, at the time of the call, Keith was very ill and bald because of his treatment, he was wearing a wig. Towards the end of the video call a green wing reached over the top of Keiths head and lifted Keiths wig off, held it just above his head then replaced it........Everyone broke out in full on laughter. Funny till the very end.
