32 years ago I was around 10 and around then my Dad just got cable tv with TSN. I remember watching your show pretty early on so motoring TV on Sundays or Saturdays was a staple in our house. My Dad is a salesman and going through cars every two years made your show pretty important to him. Myself I cut the cord about 8 years ago and I'm so happy you guys started pushing content to youtube. Your show and Rider games are one of the few things I miss about not having cable anymore.

Small block V8’s are big bore/short stroke engines, they should rev high with the right heads.

@@beezyj3227 Couple that with a proper valve system and exhaust to let the engine breathe. Otherwise the boost is useless.

32 years ago, as a 14yo, sitting in the rear of the classroom, getting high on dark chocolate, and enjoyibg the effect of the teacher babbling while my mind was enjoying the vertigo effect of the blackboard zooming away as I quickly moved focus from the desk to the front wall. Also, those were the days I got the record of suspensions at school without even being a punk. I just didn’t give a damn about authority.

Only American car makers use the pushrod engines because they like cutting corners and costs while penalizing the reliability. The result is you get engines that have to be replaced at 50k miles.

YOU DID NOT MENTION WHOCH MOST RELIABLE???? . IN MY EXPRRIENCE YHE PUSHTOD OHV IS MUCH PTEFERRED FOR ITS LONG TIME RRLIABILITY OVER THE OHC ENGINES. THE V6 AND V8 OHC ENGINGES ARE FAMOUS FOR FAILING TIMING CHAINS. AS A WORKING MAN GIVE ME THE RELIABILITU OF THE OHV PUSROD V6 AND V8!!!!

What do you think is better pushrod or DOHC?
@toddamtmann3528
@toddamtmann3528 Жыл бұрын
Depends on what you're going for. He actually explained that in this video. Overhead cam engines can't bend pushrods, and there are less moving parts. But when it's all said and done, a pushrod engine is for a grown man, and DOHC is for teenagers. 😂

Depends on applications. If you have a small displacement engine and wanna squeeze maximum performance and Rev highr, DOHC. If it's bigger displacement, pushrods are simpler, cheaper, less maintenance, and failure probability, and can still make lots of torque and decent horsepower.
