As a DINK couple living in downtown, we test drove the CRV, Accord, Rav4, Prius, NX, etc. The major considerations were that it should be more of a SUV height due to aging parents occasionally visiting and it should park relatively easily. At first the Honda HRV seemed perfect, but no vents or power in the back, so after we saw the UX, it was a done deal. You could max out a Toyota or Honda, but you'd still suffer from more road noise when a base UX is all things considered the same (feature and cost) but also nicer to sit in. There is a reason it's extremely popular in Europe.

Ok, so I have a 2022 Lexus UX250h Luxury edition and I absolutely love this car. I do like all of the changes in tech and the increased HP in the UX300 but the price for the Luxury trim has gone up by CDN$6,000. Ouch. Two other comments, although not rated to tow I did find a hidden hitch made by a company in Seattle, Washington, USA that makes a great hitch to allow for a bike rack. Also, be careful with that lovely pad on the dash when cleaning it as it scratches VERY easily and you can’t fix a scratch without replacing the entire pad. Not cool Lexus!! Finally, I drove an NX350 two weeks ago as a loaner while my UX was in for service and I prefer my UX.

Andrea right on but why would someone go to review a small SUV that everyone who buys one is for that reason and cut it down for being small . I am on your side the UX300h AWD is top notch one of the best rides out there and very well made . I bought it knowing the back seat is decent but not the reason to buy the UX . Your husbands review is like doing a review on a Cadillac Escalade and the whole interview stating " It is just too large , who would buy this it is too large". I think you should reshoot the whole You tube and state " If you just want the bet smaller quality SUV this is the one " . Check out the break hold feature at stop lights it is great and also the boot or trunk is larger you can lower the floor and it expands and there are also hidden storage spaces along the rear walls they pull open. Again review the whole SUV for all its great qualities and leave out the back seat not being like a stretched limo ( as we all know when we buy one ) . People who own UX 's know they use the front seats 1100 percent of the time and the back seat maybe 2 % at the most . The problem with going to the NX it is not the same great new engine and ride as the new UX300 . But if you live in the USA insist and pay more for an AWD and the Premium as we call it here with an upgraded screen , the heads up display , and wireless charger is the best option over the base or the Fsport . Thanks love your reviews they are consistent I hope you get my point we all know it is a smaller SUV that is why we buy many of them !

I have viewers who reach out to me and say they fit car seats back there. It's amazing what you can fit in a small vehicle. My Dodge Colt had friends who were over 6 feet in the rear seat. Everyone just wants bigger now but you can easily get away with smaller if you are on a tighter budjet and just want an entry level Lexus with amazing fuel economy. The thing that I hate so much is that a lot of times when it comes to manufacturers they assume that everybody in North America wants a three-row SUV and that's just not true. Like Mazda for instance with the cx70, instead of giving us something more similar to the cx60 that they sell in Europe they basically just gave us another cx90 cuz they assume that's what everybody wants a car the size of the cx90. Ridiculous.

Lexus and Toyota have 10-year 240,000km warranties on their Hybrid system. Some competing models, BMW for example, only have 8y and 160,000KM coverage.

I bought this car for my wife! I don’t like the adaptive cruise on this Lexus model. It doesn’t have a touch sensitive steering wheel so when it prompts you to touch the steering wheel you actually have to move the steering wheel physically!!!! All other Lexus models have a touch sensitive steering wheel so you just need to gently touch the wheel. This makes this feature unusable with this car in my opinion. Who wants to jerk the steering wheel every minute? We just never use it. Other than that it’s a great car! Great gas mileage ! I love it! We have the top FSport 2 package. Edit: I have a NX350h executive trim if we really need space. 😎

Don’t you know that adaptive cruise has nothing to do with autonomous driving? So why do you put you hands of the steering wheel? Make absolutely no sense.
@TechJunky7772 ай бұрын
@@markus8484 Of course you put your hands on the steering wheel. The prompt will never come on in my NX model with my hands on the steering wheel but the UX model prompt will come on and you have to actually physically jerk the steering wheel for it to sense that you have your hands on the steering wheel. That’s the difference. In the UX if you have your hands on the steering wheel but never jerk it then it will stop you in the middle of traffic. It thinks you are not there.
@markburch585123 күн бұрын
@@TechJunky777 Yes, Toyota’s older system uses force instead of capacitive touch to check to see if you have a hand on the wheel. Shove a full water bottle in the crook of the steering wheel and that will fool this Toyota “feature”. Use this on my 22 Prius prime on the highway and have driving very long ways without having to touch the wheel - do be prepared to take over as it sometimes wants to take the exit but in general, on well marked highways with gentle curves - this trick works well
