It's the perfect car for retirees, small, quiet and 42mpg. My GF bought one last May. We both love it, so easy to park, good acceleration and very comfortable.

I am retired, and I bought an Alfa Romeo Tonale Sprint PHEV EAWD instead. It is better looking, handles better, is a PHEV, has more horsepower, it is comparable in size, I bought it for less then MSRP, and with the $5,000 fed rebate, I got it for about the same out the door price as the Luxury UX300h model. And I got a PHEV, for the same price as a Lexus hybrid.

This car is definitely not for many people but it’s 100% the car for me. I’m a hatchback lover, I’ve had the Corolla iM, CHR, Civic Hatchback, Prius, and now a stupid Honda Fit (my get me finished with college car). This is what I want when I’m done with school but I probably would go for a certified used one to save some money.

I'm with Andrea but always appreciate both Andrea and Zack's viewpoints. It's just me and my husband and the backseat has enough room for my 50 lb dog. I have been looking for a smaller car than my RAV that does not feel cheap and this seems to fit the bill perfectly, with Lexus refinement and reliability. Thank you for your excellent reviews!

As a DINK couple living in downtown, we test drove the CRV, Accord, Rav4, Prius, NX, etc. The major considerations were that it should be more of a SUV height due to aging parents occasionally visiting and it should park relatively easily. At first the Honda HRV seemed perfect, but no vents or power in the back, so after we saw the UX, it was a done deal. You could max out a Toyota or Honda, but you'd still suffer from more road noise when a base UX is all things considered the same (feature and cost) but also nicer to sit in. There is a reason it's extremely popular in Europe.

Ok, so I have a 2022 Lexus UX250h Luxury edition and I absolutely love this car. I do like all of the changes in tech and the increased HP in the UX300 but the price for the Luxury trim has gone up by CDN$6,000. Ouch. Two other comments, although not rated to tow I did find a hidden hitch made by a company in Seattle, Washington, USA that makes a great hitch to allow for a bike rack. Also, be careful with that lovely pad on the dash when cleaning it as it scratches VERY easily and you can’t fix a scratch without replacing the entire pad. Not cool Lexus!! Finally, I drove an NX350 two weeks ago as a loaner while my UX was in for service and I prefer my UX.

Andrea right on but why would someone go to review a small SUV that everyone who buys one is for that reason and cut it down for being small . I am on your side the UX300h AWD is top notch one of the best rides out there and very well made . I bought it knowing the back seat is decent but not the reason to buy the UX . Your husbands review is like doing a review on a Cadillac Escalade and the whole interview stating " It is just too large , who would buy this it is too large". I think you should reshoot the whole You tube and state " If you just want the bet smaller quality SUV this is the one " . Check out the break hold feature at stop lights it is great and also the boot or trunk is larger you can lower the floor and it expands and there are also hidden storage spaces along the rear walls they pull open. Again review the whole SUV for all its great qualities and leave out the back seat not being like a stretched limo ( as we all know when we buy one ) . People who own UX 's know they use the front seats 1100 percent of the time and the back seat maybe 2 % at the most . The problem with going to the NX it is not the same great new engine and ride as the new UX300 . But if you live in the USA insist and pay more for an AWD and the Premium as we call it here with an upgraded screen , the heads up display , and wireless charger is the best option over the base or the Fsport . Thanks love your reviews they are consistent I hope you get my point we all know it is a smaller SUV that is why we buy many of them !

Always enjoy your videos! I agree with Zack on this one. No doubt the folks who own this Lexus love it and rave about it, but I bet it’s just their personal car without any passengers. Front passenger seat is meant for my handbag, kwim? And why bother with heated rear seats? Rarely putting passengers back there let alone full grown adults 😅

I have viewers who reach out to me and say they fit car seats back there. It's amazing what you can fit in a small vehicle. My Dodge Colt had friends who were over 6 feet in the rear seat. Everyone just wants bigger now but you can easily get away with smaller if you are on a tighter budjet and just want an entry level Lexus with amazing fuel economy. I really enjoyed driving this for the week on my own or just with a second person but many use the rear seat often believe it or not.

Andrea is right lol😂 but it's true. What I've always liked about the UX is that it's a compact car for people who don't need a lot of space. The thing that I hate so much is that a lot of times when it comes to manufacturers they assume that everybody in North America wants a three-row SUV and that's just not true. Like Mazda for instance with the cx70, instead of giving us something more similar to the cx60 that they sell in Europe they basically just gave us another cx90 cuz they assume that's what everybody wants a car the size of the cx90. Ridiculous.

Just a small note in favour of Lexus - In Canada, they come with a 6-year 110,000 KM powertrain and safety restraint warranty over the competitors' 5 yr/100,000km warranty on powertrains. Lexus and Toyota have 10-year 240,000km warranties on their Hybrid system. Some competing models, BMW for example, only have 8y and 160,000KM coverage.

I bought this car for my wife! I don’t like the adaptive cruise on this Lexus model. It doesn’t have a touch sensitive steering wheel so when it prompts you to touch the steering wheel you actually have to move the steering wheel physically!!!! All other Lexus models have a touch sensitive steering wheel so you just need to gently touch the wheel. This makes this feature unusable with this car in my opinion. Who wants to jerk the steering wheel every minute? We just never use it. Other than that it’s a great car! Great gas mileage ! I love it! We have the top FSport 2 package. Edit: I have a NX350h executive trim if we really need space. 😎

@@markus8484 Of course you put your hands on the steering wheel. The prompt will never come on in my NX model with my hands on the steering wheel but the UX model prompt will come on and you have to actually physically jerk the steering wheel for it to sense that you have your hands on the steering wheel. That’s the difference. In the UX if you have your hands on the steering wheel but never jerk it then it will stop you in the middle of traffic. It thinks you are not there.

@@TechJunky777 Yes, Toyota’s older system uses force instead of capacitive touch to check to see if you have a hand on the wheel. Shove a full water bottle in the crook of the steering wheel and that will fool this Toyota “feature”. Use this on my 22 Prius prime on the highway and have driving very long ways without having to touch the wheel - do be prepared to take over as it sometimes wants to take the exit but in general, on well marked highways with gentle curves - this trick works well

@@karachanot only better economy. Xc40 and Q3 are good if you lease them or sell soon. If you prefer a reliable, well build car that you can drive a decade, than you HAVE to get the UX. It has a better resale value as well.

@@markus8484 Maybe when I retire, it's a solid advice for sure. For now, I usually lease or drive 5-7 years and trade in. I'll never drive anything past 60k miles anyway. But that might change in 10-12 years or so, we'll see. In the meantime, I do think the Lexus is solid, but they can do better in terms of the overall cabin experience, sound system etc. We know that the drivetrain is good.

@@markus8484there's that false information. Audi q3 has a very reliable ea888 engine and bmw is also a very reliable brand in 2024. There is nothing at this price point that UX offers that is competitive.....

Yes. Just a normal regular bottle of water you would get at the grocery store There were quite a few accessories you can buy for a Tesla that uses the same force. This is the same method Stay safe and pay attention but think you will be surprised at how well this works

In the sub compact luxury category Car and Driver ranks this car overall #14 (!!), the Volvo XC40 is #1. But the Volvo - with 25% more power - is more thirsty. UX300h is still a slug at 7.7 sec 0 to 60.

The folks that drop off these vehicles to you to review should make an effort to keep these demos clean. Every single review I’ve seen all of them are filthy. So much for presentation .Guessing the former detailer in me is still OCD.
