Thank you for the teardown. I think I requested this weeks or months ago. Even though we still don’t know how IP52 dust resistance is achieved on this phone. Dust resistance should be a great step forward for foldables, because dust kills screens and hinges.

I've been pretty impressed with Motorola's phones in recent years, admittedly from afar. The desktop mode with a first party dock and native 4K ... the Moto edge 30 had external stylus support and a case purpose made for it. Really competitive pricing on the international market. The aggressive design and colors of razr. Giving the users free capacity to use the front screen natively as part of the stock experience . lthough sadly some of their best products didn't make the US or came to the US in a nerved capacity with different silicon and charging. Obviously long-term updates are a problem, and have been non-existent for many of these phones. I have to assume they've been pressured to adopt something closer to industry standards... Maybe 3 to 4 years at least. But we'll have to see how it shakes out

I love the Motorola Razr 2023 that I have. Only issue I am having though is that I've only had between 2-3 months and sometimes when I close it, hit the power button, or like yesterday, just have it open, it shuts down completely. Sometimes it doesn't come back when I hold the power button, sometimes it does. I believe it's a software issue, any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated because I really do not want another phone. Especially since I'm still financing it through affirm from Walmart. Thank you.

What adhesive do you use? My back cover went right back on with the old sticker adhesive.

Thanks. No I dont have a video of the folding screen removal. I've done it on previous models of this. Once disassembled, you just need to apply heat and pry the plastic boarder as well as the old folding screen off from the frame. However I recommend instead getting a screen with frame replacement since it will be much more simple and easier to replace. These screens are fragile, so if you don't get the original pre cut adhesive and apply it properly when re adhering the folding screen to the frame, then it will get damaged when opening or closing the flip. So just not worth risking damaging a replacement screen when you can get one factory applied to the frame assembly.

No mm wave antenna and no memory card contacts or slot. Just dual sim slot but not active in all regions.

how much heat ? cause this would be a perfect phone for customization , imagine custom colors like how we used to customize nokia phones at the mall back in the day

just enough to heat it up to the touch. Best to use a hair dryer to avoid damaging it. You can always apply more heat as needed.

I suggest you don't attempt it. If you skip through videos, and its your first time and with given instructions in this video when the phone is disassembled on how to remove the folding screen seem to not help you figure it out, then you should not attempt it on this phone. It's not the easiest task to do, especially if the replacement is not installed correctly, you will break it when folding it. You're better off using a full flip assembly as replacement or letting a professional place do it. On this folding screens, you need to use the original adhesives made to apply behind the folding screen to the frame, because if the folding screen slides or moves out of place even slightly when being folded, it can result in it breaking.
