Improved production is so fun to watch, the cars are so diverse and there's always a good battle going on somewhere in the race! I literally know more improved production racers names than any other motor sport lol

the thing is, most of us could not drive that car at the limit like he does. He is using more of the track and maximizing entry speed. Sure is fun to watch a underdog with skill show up more powerful cars.

Its way harder to race a RWD car at the limit than a FWD car, if you have at least basic skills and a good throttle control this is the best to start with. Im from the rallying sector and theach young drivers the basics at a rallying track here in germany, and i see it every time we start with the Renaul Twingo R2 rallycars(170HP around 950kg). One of the youngest i trained was my girlfriends little brother at the age of 13, he was able to do very quick laps and hat a good car control after a few days, with the Porsche rallycar he needed way longer until he was ready to do his laps without me in the car. J Cox is a very good driver and has outstanding skills, but if someone istn completly skillless he should manage to race a civic like that. But your point is also right because nevertheless it needs big balls to throw it around like this, and not everybody has them.

Weezor hmmmm interesting and in my case I have both a civic and evo and I prefer those drivetrains over rwd but I do like rwd. So there is also preference involved as well. Also each has its strength and weakness which can help you strategically to your advantage to a diff set up sometimes it gets exciting lol

I have no big experience with Evos, drove a Evo 8 back in the day for a few days, the torque vectoring AWD with all its options is very well made from factory. My exaple was more in a Motorsport manner, if someone starts rallying or racing then its best to start with a FWD if there is no big experience with higher hp awd or rwd cars. I like awd but a EVO is hard to maintain here in germany if you push it really hard all the time. My 3 Cars are all different, the Twingo RS Cup is a light FWD, the Porsche944 3.0 is a RWD with transaxle layout(engine front gearbox back) and the 911 a RWD with rear engine, but even though the 911 has 360hp at 1340 kilos, the 944 (250hp 1200kilo)drives way better at the Nurburgring etc, but as you said, every car has its advantages, the 911 is faster out of corners because of the rear end grip and the 944 is better overall beacuse of perfext 50/50 balance, the Twingo is just nimble and at very curvy roads even faster than the other two.

What are the technical rule for thoses races?? I mean as much as I like small 4cyl, it can't match à big V8, even with the weight advantage since their is a lot of long straight.. Is their an allowed engine's volume per weight for example? Or they have to race with minimum factory part in the engine??

Well, you have to be a huge idiot. Jordans Civic may not have a lot of power but he spent some money on suspension and breaks. That's what makes the cute Honda a superior car when it comes to corners.Of course Jordan is a maniac behind the wheel but he wouldn't do that with the Falcon. Simply to heavy and to sluggish.

But back on topic, it's ironic you say Americans hate Hondas when the Civic of all gens are one of the most common vehicles you will see on the roads and at the local races. You're obviously not from America plus I highly doubt you have ever taken up a residency in the US at any point in your life or else you would refrain from making such biased and ignorant statements.
