I used to anxiously wait for Roadkill episodes, love the content and fun. Was so sad when it was stopped on YT. I think it was a mistake to jump ship for a network - networks are a cancer for creativity and fun. I follow many channels these days, that are still being filmed with GoPro's and apple phones and they are totally fine, they got enough subs and massive projects and cars in the works and all that with no network or even sponsors, just merch and ad revenue. I think Roadkill should go back to that, we need Roadkill full episodes on YT!

Back in the early 80's a local stuffed in a 426 Hemi into a Gremlin X. No frame but in the basically stock unibody. It was a green with white and I recall him calling the car the "Hulk" with a green hulk on it. It was really a hack job and he said he'd crack the windshield when he'd really hammer it. Back then he'd go to the junk yard(s) to cut out windshields from the massive amount of rusted out AMCs. I also remember the cut out on the hood was a huge as yours. Not only did the carbs need to stick out but both valve covers stuck out. It was a real street freak back then, but remember back then you could buy an original 426 Hemi in need of a rebuild for about $500.00

I went where ever it wanted to go. Could not keep it straight for the life of us. Was a Blast to drive and do donuts in. That was some crazy stuff.

One of the "dream cars" I would like to build over the years was pretty close to this. Was thinking straight front axle, level stance but 8-12" over stock height, milder small block for a "little" economy and practicality as Canada's rules are a little more stringent on things sticking through the hood! Skinnys on the front and wide on the rear, and barn doors instead of a hatchback. I'm sure the short wheelbase on the gremlin would make it absolutely squirrely if it had good hook up at the rear tires!

My brother had one with a 455 from my old Toronado. It was a 1st year Gremlin modified for a big block by a clock repairman friend of his. He didn't do any of the frame mods and it was fine. No reason to; Gremlins could handle a mild build, and a stock GM big block was good enough for 11s. The main fab was moving the firewall back and fitting a Vega transmission. This is overkill.

One of the things (out of many) I regret not doing in my life is putting a Pontiac 400 in a 1972 orange Gremlin my buddy had. I had the engine and he had the Gremmie. No idea why we wanted to do it, we just did. Sadly it never happened. My dad was kind of sick of us tearing up cars every weekend in his driveway. :-)

That's the kind of project we all want to build. Or at least the smart people want to build 😆 Reminds me of a 70's Dodge Colt I was building for myself years ago. Was a 383, 6 pack tunnel ram, full chassis commuter car. We had it about 80% done before the shop owner's life went in the toilet and so did everyone's projects. We pushed the motor as far backwards and up as high as possible. You could see the carb top flanges from the back of the car even with the roof. 😁 Unfortunately I didn't have the skills at the time to finish it myself and the project was scrapped/cannibalize. The Hemi Grimmy is awesome! Definitely my kind of ride.👍😎

Had a 74 with 258 single barrel manual 3spd, in reddish orange typical 70's painted-like-a-gumball color. 0-18 in first (Nothing could catch it) 18-35 in second (not near as fast) 80 was redlining it. (third gear was long winded and anything could catch you, even a chevette could downshift and pass it at 60.) Still wish I had that car. Coolest oddball I ever owned.

I like the content from Freiburger and Finnegan. I watched from the 1st roadkill episode. Had a MTOD subscription for 3 or so years. I gave up on MTOD when their lineup of shows turned to garbage. Roadkill and a couple other shows is all I could watch. The rest are complete poser garbage. Too many celebrity car shows and not real wrench turners. I do watch both guys on their own KZbin channels.

Umm, these guys copy what others are building or what's trending. The smaller shows don't have Mopar throwing money at them like roadkill does. These guys build a car in 10 days, condensed it to 16 minutes and you're calling other channels posers? really?

If you can't get MT on demand in your country...it's your country's fault with their licenseing agreements. Hulu and Apple TV have the same troubles. Do your homework before you bicker and moan.

It's not just licensing issues anymore. Some countries are starting to charge taxes for international media streaming. Motor Trend would lose money streaming internationally.
