I’ve had a older one back in the 80’s, 750/four, and I’ve got new one now 2014 model, unlike the older one, I’m keeping this one, this is one sweet bike, every time I ride it, it takes me back when I was in high school, Sammy Hagar big hit “ I can’t drive 55”

why oh why do people think a soundtrack is needed when a motorcycle engine is revving?

We are going to miss the masterpiece honda made!
@jfro58673 жыл бұрын
That’s not the last version, it looks like a 2016 model. Later ones are slightly different but no longer made new after 2021 because of Euro 5. Lovely classic bikes.
@whiterabbitt20023 жыл бұрын
EURO 5 what a freakin' nightmare/sick joke. Like motorcycles are a threat to the environment, not. It is all about control. The EU is the western version of the extinct "Soviet Union". Anyways it is shame that Honda is ending the CB1100 Ex. Besides Harley and Motto Guzzi it is one of the rare true "Retro" motprcycles on the market (as well as the the Ducati Scrambler 800 and the Enfield 650) Air cooled simple machines. Honda, IMO, should have added traction control for added safety (just saying). More than likely the CB1100 EX will become a sought after "Collector Bike" at some point as is the CB 750 has become. The 'NEW" (2021) Triumph T-120 is an awesome bike but is liqiud cooled/more tech (more things to go wrong/broken at some point). So it can not really be compared to the HONDA. I would buy the Honda if I already did not 3 motorcycles just for the nostalgia. WHen I was 17 I rode a Honda CB 125 from Washington D.C. to Kansas City MO. Great little bike. ;-)

Last version has the cool seamless tank in 2017, but still stuck with spokes.
@Evolution_Kills3 жыл бұрын
Indeed. My 2017 EX for the NA market has the seamless tank. The instrument cluster has a chrome and brushed aluminum finish with black faces on the analogue gauges. The side panels with the 1100 badges are brushed aluminum rather than painted. Also the engine is partially blacked out, and the 4-into-2 exhaust has fully chromed tips. Not only are the wheels spoked, but they are both 18 inches, making tires selection (especially for the front) very limited. But everything they said was spot on. Plenty of power and torque, along with a tall 6 speed gearbox, means you don't need to shift constantly. It has very neutral handling and is deceptively agile, you don't feel the bike's weight when you're moving. It is a fun bike. My only complaint is the retro seat, which isn't comfortable for more than an hour of riding, on account of being too narrow.

It is not true that the Honda 750F was the first mass-produced 4-cylinder motorcycle. The Danish Nimbus was produced from 1920 to 1959 had a 4-cylinder 750cc engine, lying lengthwise, with overhead camshaft and shaft drive. Nimbus was produced in several editions, and the number produced exceeded 13,000

I was looking at this, mainly because I like the retro look. But in my country, the Z900RS is like €300 cheaper, has more power, whopping 40kg less weight and also provides the retro look. I think this bike is overpriced by at least €2000. Maybe that is why I see so few around.
@chrisvandriel99093 жыл бұрын
In my opinion the 900rs is more beautiful
@martinmartin59043 жыл бұрын
The z900 is very nice but it's only cosmetic on a very modern chassis and yes very efficient ,we are far from the big noodle that was the original Z . The double cradle of the cb 1100 has nothing to do in terms of rigidity with the original but visually made it much more retro
@whobru3 жыл бұрын
having owned 2 1975 Z1s, I was very disappointed in the retro Z1. Honda hit it out of the park with spoked wheels, air cooling etc. the 900s are beautiful, but it is more of a modern upright with only a tiny touch of retro...they missed the mark...Honda did not.

I have the Z900RS. It’s a fantastic motorbike, but it’s not a retro machine. It’s basically a Z900 with a round headlight and slightly different ergonomics. CB1100 was a totally retro platform built from the ground up.
