Had no idea these came in a diesel, but these particular Jeeps were some of the last halfway decent ones..

I drove one. It felt really sluggish despite Diesels having a LOT of Torque down low.

@@pbfloyd13 I know these used a Mercedes Diesel V6. I would have expected a bit more torque down low considering that's what diesel engines do.

I found one for sake they're asking $3,800 for it. I'm just wondering, is it a great buy since diesel engines are more efficient and easier to work on?

If you people would read the manuals and use common sense you'd know it is capable of towing alot more than that. 7,400lbs is what it can tow safely repeatedly at 60mph with triple axle trailer, trailer brakes, weight distributing hitch & the proper tires all around. Y'all just get scared (as you should) when you try to compete with big Peterbilts for space on the highway at 75mph and it starts swaying so you think you need a $70,000 three and a quarter ton truck to pull a little 6 or 7,000lb trailer. Smh 😂. All light duty vehicles must not exceed 65mph MAX when towing. That's the law. This means 60mph cruising and 65mph when passing. Even though this law don't get situationally enforced until after you've caused an accident, it's the law. Nationwide.
