I ran the GPS the rear (50/50 mode) and the Dual Venture on the front for a 7500 mile ride from Montana to Prudhoe Bay and back and then on to Illinois. Both ran great for the entire trip at any speed. The only really sketchy part was a steel deck bridge that I thought was going to throw me off the bike with such an extreme wobble. Also, the front tire was extremely noisy, drawing attention from onlookers everywhere. At the end of the trip, the front was totally used up and I would guess that I have 3000+ miles left of the rear. This was on a 1250 GSA.

I agree, I've them on my 1250GS, they are great tyres.

The GPS are great tires, they last a super long time. However, they do not perform well is muddy conditions. I am fortunate enough to have a tire changer and balancer at home, so I swap between the GPS and the Dual Venture front and Adventure rear when I expect wet conditions on a ride. Thanks for the great review!

Valuable info on the GPS turned around to the more aggressive. I offen wondered if I should do this without adversely affection road manners to much, now ill give it a go.

I did 11,500 in the more aggressive orientation on a bmw1250gsa. Didn’t notice negative interstate road manners until the last 1000 miles, but I was too lazy to change it out.

The GBS are great on gravel and pavement, not so much on trails and technical. Tractionator Adventure is the answer.

I had a similar load on my old ATwin with the Motoz ADV non GPS, and still had my front end come away and went down a couple of times. I always thought it was because of the big weight on the back of the bike and not being able to get enough front end bite on my Twin..

Tar strips here in northern Az during hot days are sketchy on any tire.

I got 11500 miles from that same set on a bmw 1250 gsa. My front tire looked identical to John’s. My rear, in the most aggressive orientation, was worn much more than John’s. I’m running the GPS again but with the rear in the less aggressive orientation. Time will tell if that makes a big wear difference with my riding (twisties, interstate, forest gravel/dirt)

Would love to hear an update when you get a mileage update on new orientation.

Dunlop Trail Max Raids slip out on tar snakes too. It’ll scare the crap out of ya.

I wore out a gps. Hard to do. For me I choose tractionator and dual venture.

Why would anyone run a tire under pressure for the situation?? The weight was not the issue. The lack of correct tire pressure was. Rear tire looks like it was under inflated due to how flat the rear tire is. My tires never get a flat spot even after 10,000, 15,000 miles. The GPS are not good for off-road is a known. They are not MotoZ Adventures. He encountered vertical tar strips on roads? How vertical were they 6", 1 or 2 feet vertical (high)?
@johnmartin714416 күн бұрын
I do not care what tire one runs. When one hits tar strips in the heat all tires slip.
