Haven't tried it yet but God Bless You if it works! What a pain. I always thought their should be a way to disable so the passenger could use. I hoped it would be disabled after detecting weight on the front passenger seat, like for the airbag. Going to give it a try on my 2019 tomorrow. Thanks again.

It will work. Guarantee! I use it frequently. I do however wish we could disable it for ever but this feature does revert back once you turn the truck off. But it’s a very simple and takes Litterally 10 seconds to do so it’s not a big deal.

I am not sure how you found that but thats awesome man thanks for sharing i always hated that in my Ridgeline now i can just turn the sucker off lol. I wish there is a way to make the head units more flexible to use i wish i could watch movies on it or connect my phone to it watch videos while driving what ever just more functions. These companies tend to lock everything on these cars. I am thinking to change the head unit but i have the Black edition 2019 model i don't want to mess with it maybe there is a way to add an android unit that pops out and i can just enjoy everything like that. If you guys have some recommendations let reply to my comment please. I was thinking to install screens on the back of the head rests for my kids to watch as well but i hate wires so i was thinking of something more wireless head unit in the front and one or two screens on the back head rests and i can just connect my phone to it and display music or movies for him in the back something more versatile if you guys know what i mean.

put it in neutral, turn the ignition off, put it in park. radio stays on. all I got so far

When you put it in park, hold the shift lever button while you turn off the ignition. The radio will stay on until you let go of the shift button.

no there is no permanent fix from what I can tell. But I probably do this a few times a month and its super simple and takes but a few seconds at a stop light.

Am able to confirm that the key combo for the 2021 RL is Menu-Brightness-Power all three must be pressed at the same moment ...takes a couple tries. does not matter whether the radio was on or off

no option to change colors on this menu from what I have seen. However would be cool. Not sure if the LEDS that are installed are single color LEDs or Have the capability of multicolor.

Unfortunately i believe it’s a safety feature that it reverts to original setting. Without reprogramming I do not believe it is possible.

Yes. Unfortunately it’s not a permanent fix. However I do this probably a few times a month. I have it down to like 10 seconds. So it’s not a big deal.

Once the truck shuts off this reverts back to its main preset. So you have to do this every time. However its super simple and I do it occasionally when stopped at a red light and can get it done within probably 20 seconds.

Only works for cycle of starting truck, meaning it has to be done every time your going to use it. Wish I knew a way to make it permanent.

@@JosephAguirre I tried using the power button, but that didn't do it. Then I tried various combinations of the buttons, and stumbled upon the answer. Unfortunately, I didn't notice which one I was trying when it worked and I haven't been able to do it again. And there are LOTS of interesting settings in there besides just this one.
