I literally just climbed Rinjani on Wednesday! Was the hardest thing of my entire life cried for the entire last hour! Such an achievement to get anywhere near the top well done guys. The wind is ridiculous

when I was young, hiking is one of my hobby. I conquered many mountains in indonesia. But for sure the nature is not in our control. so sometimes I had to decide not to continue or cancel the first plan.And sometimes not only because of nature, but because of superstitious thing. I respect the local, if they said it's not good to going up, so I wouldn't go. well... the main thing is decision has to be made which place our safety is above all. I respect you guys, your achievement there is not easy . great job.

OMG! This is the day I climbed Mount Rinjani too! This means a tremendous amount to me this video. I can’t tell you how happy it was to see it! Sadly I did not make it to the summit, about 45 mins from the end and we were advised to turn back because of the extreme winds! We get many people who stay with us right after they finished climbing. 100s if not more . They all look pretty beat. I my self used to climb a lot . They used to call me the mountain goat lol . At least you gave it a shot. One of the problems IMO is that you guys are forced to keep pace on a time schedule rather than on a personal basis. I would recommend paying the extra for a private guide that will allow you to pace yourself. Due to local government regulations, people are not allowed to go at it alone without paying for guided tours. This is in place to try to help the local economy. You can get arrested if the catch you without a guide or group . The route is no mystery as its well trodded and lined with human debris. So one could easily make their own way up spending as much time to rest as needed. Its just not really allowed. Everyone ive met afterwards is beat. They eat a giant double cheese burger and collapse 😂 and sleep for hours
