It’s a top of the range insulated jacket featuring a unique, handwoven form of insulation - what did you expect the price tag to be?! As we said within the video, if you’re after something on a budget their Shelterstone Jacket is much more appropriate.

What about the shell fabric - does it block the wind? durable enough for a rock climbing belay jacket?

The shell is windproof, but it’s quite light - 10 denier to be precise. As such, it doesn’t feel quite as protective as a more durable outer. It doesn’t take the knocks like something heavier weight too, although this is - after all a lightweight jacket, hence you can’t expect it to do everything.

A few items of feedback: 1. Your hand movements are very repetitive, and therefore become quite annoying. 2. If they gave you three jackets, was one a medium? If so, could you have tried it on for the camera? 3. You never put the hood up but showed pictures of it up. A video should have video, not just stills of features demonstrated. 4. 335 pounds is about 435 in USD. But the US price is $450...damn that is expensive...especially with only two color options.
