Most realtors are just out there to do the paperwork. I love your accurate extensive knowledge on all things home related. I am in the construction world specifically septic installation and your brief description of the functionality of a septic system as a whole sounds like you have a pretty good grasp on how they actually funtion. Most people dont have a clue

CCME in Cripple Creek, Colorado is the perfect spot. In the mountains 1 hour from Colorado Springs, 1:45 from Breckenridge, 2 hours from Denver. Roads are POA maintained, gas and water hookups. NO DRILLING A WELL; a well could cost you thousands depends on where the water table lies. Do it! 1.5 acres for roughly 25k. Back up to thousands of acres of BLM land.

My question is can you build a 320sqft container home in park county? Are building permits really hard to get and how expensive is it to simply pass inspection. Can you have water tanks And like what are the discrepancies. Does it drive the whole price up Because of the mandatory regulations? Or can you truly live off the grid.

Excellent Information! I'm a retired mountain luxury cabin broker in AZ. I've lived 26 yrs above 8200' in AZ, +4 yrs in CO. AZ mountain lots are entirely different from CO land! My biggest questions are, where in CO, can you research whether property is in floodplain, in range of possible volcanic activity, & where, if any, are existing fault lines potential of Earthquake activity? Thank you for this great video! ✨⛰🏡✨
@SomewhereInColorado Жыл бұрын
Gosh. thank you for the comment and great question. There aren't really flood zones up here as most people are outside or above the canyons...but that's where you'll find them. I know FEMA has good tools if you want to check particular areas. msc.fema.gov/portal/home Earthquake? never heard that question but Geologic studies indicate there are about 100 potentially active faults Colorado and more than 400 earthquake tremors of magnitude 2.5 or higher have occurred in Colorado since 1870. coloradogeologicalsurvey.org/hazards/eq/ I think if there's a super volcano we have much bigger issues. lol. hope this helped

Elevation impact on oxygen and health, not just for you but your guests. We live at 9100. During the day, my oxygen saturation is about 92% on average according to my smart watch it started falling down into the 80s when I slept at night so I now sleep with an oxygen concentrator. I have had one family member have to go back down into Colorado Springs to catch their breath, and I had another who wasn’t the best of HEALTH ended up in the hospital at Penrose in Colorado Springs. My understanding is that to compensate for the lack of oxygen up here your blood will create additional red blood cells which may lead to a thickening of your blood. So you seriously may want to consider talking to your doctor if you have health issues before going to live at extreme elevation.

First real question realtors want to ask. How much MONEY is available for your purchase. 2) what’s your time frame so I can estimate/schedule a closing, because my commission is first/ and foremost. 🤣

So, I'm curious. How do you REALLY find out the internet speeds where you want to live in the mountains of Colorado? For example, I scoped out #pagosaspringscolorado BEFORE moving. Everything online said, HIGH-SPEED internet, which was BS! The highest speed I got was 10 Mbps, and I was in north Pagosa, IN TOWN! I moved to the foothills of Denver and am working my way back to a more serene and quiet mountain area. Thoughts?
@SomewhereInColorado3 жыл бұрын
Hi! The best way!? thats though. You can them speed-test the internet and show you results if you want to be exact. Normally talking to the sellers and neighbors give you an idea. If they have 3 teenagers and work from home you should be fine.😉.
@DanSme1 Жыл бұрын
#9 NINE! Don’t move to the Colorado rural or mountains and EXPECT all the same urban services. Then foreigners become critical of locals and go on individual or group Crusades to change the status quo BECAUSE you’re so superior and KNOW what’s best for everyone else. Of course I’ve just described Colorado in its entirety, with the influx of Californians over the past 45 years.

yello! fellow sentient human from eastern himalayas. i always believed that americans live on foothills and hardly have i ever seen them building cities and townships in mountains and hill ranges; elevation ranging from 1500m to 1800m and higher. Never seen that. The first part about access in the video surely made me question. I was like woah. steep roads and high mountain homes. that's depressing like how we live here. I knew yall lived in mountains but made it flat like a plateau of sorts with no gradient slope or any of those steep slopes only gentle slopes but this seems depressing.

How the hell does one afford a house in the mountains? Their damn near million dollar homes. Here in Missouri a 3 bedroom 2 bath goes for $135k. A house like I described doesn’t seem to exist in the mountains
