Not to butt in, but those buttons you keep trying to push don't push. To operate them you tap the first button on the bottom row (the one that looks like 4 buttons square) left side, and every time you tap THAT button it will cycle thru the choice one after the other. In real life though I use the LEFT side up and down arrows to set the temp and the RIGHT side up and down arrows to set the time and then push the PLAY button to start it. The buttons that are flashing are the buttons you can press otherwise nothing :) I bought the white one and that one has no Teflon in it if that matters to you and the black one does. Hope that helps :)

I actually did a great job operating this air fryer, so I always go through with my own methodology. Like did you make homemade pizza in the airfyer? Or a homemade apple fritter?

I just think how I made so many thing in the air fryer doing it my way, and not the way you describe. Yep, I am a strong cookie like that.

@@Sweetbeariesart I think you are a little sensitive to comments and I didn't mean to upset you :) I wanted to point out that it's not on you or me, but all those hundreds of buttons between the 2 side of the machine are non-functional but only lights. By using the bottom left button you can cycle thru all those lights. Sorry if I wrote it wrong, no harm meant :)

So coating raw potatoes with vegetable oil comes out with better results

This was my first trial with the air fryer. My updated way of doing this is to first microwave the potatoes, and then transfer these to the air fryer. I coat the potatoes in the oil to give a bit of a fried flavor without being deep fried. Also, it keeps the potatoes from sticking to the bottom of the air fryer bin.
